NEWS JUST IN FOR LOCA: IS THIS REAL?!

Okay… this one has got us a little emotional.
Loca Bar & Restaurant has officially been named a Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Winner 2026- placing us in the TOP 10% of restaurants WORLDWIDE!!

Honestly, this feels absolutely bonkers to write. Worldwide?! What the bloody hell?!?

This award isn’t decided by judges sitting in a room. It comes from YOU. Every review you’ve written, every rating you’ve left & every time you’ve taken a few minutes after visiting Loca to tell others about your experience has helped get our little independent restaurant in Felixstowe here.

And then there’s our team.

From the team cooking your breakfasts, prepping Sunday roasts, washing endless mountains of dishes, making cocktails, serving tables, cleaning up, answering phones, dealing with the chaos Dan drops on them 5 minutes before service & somehow still coming back the next day ready to do it all again. This achievement belongs to every single one of them.

Loca has never been about trying to be the biggest restaurant. We just wanted to create somewhere with good food, good people & a team that genuinely cares about the experience you have when you walk through our doors. To now be told that we’re amongst the top 10% of restaurants in the world is something we’re absolutely gobsmacked about!
