We are incredibly proud to share that The Dove at Dargate has been nominated for the Good Food Guide 100 Best Pubs 2026 ❤️

To be recognised amongst some of the best pubs in the country is a huge honour, and it means even more as a small independent pub built on the support of our amazing customers.

Every day, we work hard to create great food, serve quality drinks, support local suppliers and make The Dove a place where people feel welcome.

What an absolutely perfect afternoon here at The Dove! ☀️🎶🍻

A huge thank you to the brilliant Sean Pout for an incredible afternoon of live music. He was fantastic and created such a wonderful atmosphere for everyone enjoying the beautiful weather today in the garden.

With the sun shining, delicious food, fantastic live music and plenty of laughter, it really was one of those afternoons that reminds us why we love what we do.

A massive thank you to everyone who came along to support us today. We truly appreciate each and every one of you, and it's always a pleasure spending afternoons like this with such great people. We can't wait to welcome you all back again next week with David Shepherd 🎶

A HUGE CHALLENGE FOR AN INCREDIBLE CAUSE ❤️

Today, Will’s brother, Tom, is taking on something pretty extraordinary.

Started at 8am this morning (saturday), Tom is attempting to run 102 miles (164km) in just 24 hours, travelling from Edinburgh Castle to Glamis Castle, via St Andrews and Dundee.

He’s doing it all to raise money for Children with Cancer UK, helping support children and young people affected by cancer.

Tom has already raised an amazing £836, but we’d love to help him smash his £1,000 target — and hopefully go well beyond it!

102 miles. 24 hours. One very worthy cause. ❤️

If any of our wonderful customers, friends and followers can spare even a few pounds, it would mean a huge amount.

If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this post would be hugely appreciated and could help us reach even more people.

WOW… We honestly can't believe it! ❤️

We are absolutely thrilled to have been voted into the Top 10 for Kent Dining Experience of the Year 2026 in the Taste of Kent Awards.

To be mentioned alongside some of Kent's most respected restaurants is something we're incredibly proud of.

A huge thank you to every single person who took the time to vote for us, dine with us, recommend us, and support our little pub. None of this would be possible without our amazing team, our suppliers, and all of our wonderful customers.

Running The Dove is hard work, but moments like this make it all worthwhile.

Whatever happens next, we're incredibly proud to be a Top 10 finalist.
