HatHats Coffee Faversham

Today our team in Uganda got busy on day 1 of their Barista and Hospitality Training, working with our partners at Hub in Lungujja. They started the day with a talk from our East African Director Daniel Semaganda, followed by our Founder Louis.

The team also had a talk from our roasting partners on the ground about types of coffee and the process from cherry to cup, before they worked through drinks and customer service training. ☕️

We don’t launch the Academy until next week, but the team are documenting the whole journey on our TikTok, so be sure to go check it out! 🥳

Today our Founder, Louis, attended the UK Africa Business Summit at the Royal Horseguards Hotel in London. It was a chance to meet political and business leaders from across the region to talk about investment, trade and opportunities.

In a few weeks' time, the HatHats Foundation will be launching its barista and hospitality academy in Kampala and the team on the ground in Africa are entering some exciting partnership opportunities.

Louis has been speaking about the magic of coffee and has met some incredible new partners, as well as connecting with our current partners on the ground.

Together we can create long term sustainable partnerships across the world!

We are very happy to share that we are a 2026 Finalist!

It was great to sit and chat with the judges about our sustainability as a business and the potential to look at new initiatives further down the line with other local businesses!

We will find out on the 8th October if we have won, but we're grateful to get this far and to be recognised.

This is a testament to our teams who work super hard behind the scenes to make HatHats what it is. ☕️

*Lovely People Wanted* 🙌

We are entering that time of year when people return to Uni or are embarking on the next chapter of life and we have a number of opportunities across our stores (keep an eye on our careers page http://hathats.co.uk/careers for all our vacancies.

However. we have a genuinely rare opportunity at Discovery Park ☕. In catering, roles that finish at lunchtime and does not involve any weekend work, these type of roles in hospitality do not come up very often, but that is exactly what this one offers.

⏰A normal shift would be 07:30 until about 14:00, Monday to Friday, with weekends off every single week.

📅 The contracted hours are between 25 to 30 a week, and if you want to earn a bit more there is always the option of overtime through to 4 or 5pm on site, occasionally you may be asked to do a full day shift.

🔄 There is also the chance to pick up work across our other sites, so if you fancy more variety or more hours down the line.

📍 We are holding a Discovery Session at the park on Tuesday 18th August at 2pm if you would like to come along, see the role and meet the team.

We are holding various other discovery sessions across our estate so if you are interested in a new adventure come and register at any and see what we are about.
