The Mill Kitchen is a friendly coffee shop and bakery serving breakfast, brunch and lunch.

At the Mill Kitchen we love food: its power to change your mood from bad to great; its ability to comfort, to energise and heal you; its role in the community; we love supporting farmers and tradespeople who make food in traditional thoughtful ways; and we love knowing what's in our food won't do too much harm to our environment - but most of all, we love eating it! We all have to eat, after all, so why not make it something delicious?

🍂 OCTOBER SPECIALS 🍂

🍁New month, new specials, and all of these tasty treats have a great early autumn feel going on!

1️⃣ Shepards Hash - slow cooked, pulled lamb leg from our pals Farsley Fire & Smoke BBQ, roast pots, carrots, peas, gravy, mint sauce
2️⃣ Brie & Cranberry chutney toastie! An oldie but a goodie, with our usual house pickles
3️⃣ Sweet potato and mango Dahl with toasted flatbreads

☀️We’ve got our guy out manning the bakers bike for the weekend. Keep an eye out for him hopefully not going for a ride!

🖊️ Also, note to self, remember you’ve put him in the cafe when you go back after hours to collect something and literally scare the crows out of yourself thinking you’re being robbed! 😬

✋🏼Just a reminder that we are closed Wednesday 2nd & Thursday 3rd for some essential maintenance! Our coffee cart will be out on Thursday (weather dependant), but tmrw looks like a wash out so no cart then I’m afraid.

☀️ OPEN BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY ☀️

😃 Of course we’re open today for all the usual cakes, bakes, pastries, coffee, breakfast, brunch….you know the drill.

⏰ We’ll be open from 9am til 4pm (last food orders at 3pm)….see you later summer!

🚨 Reminder though that we are closed Wednesday and Thursday this week for some maintenance! The coffee cart may be out front depending on the weather atm 🤞🏼

👨🏻‍🍳 BAKERS…WE WANT YOU! 👩🏽‍🍳

🥐 Sadly for us, some of our bakery team are moving on in September and we are looking for new bakers to join our team. Our bakery produces all of our own pastry, sourdough bread and cakes/bakes for exclusive use within the cafe. We don’t do any wholesale, and welcome creative input into our ever changing offering!

🤝 With both full & part time roles available, shifts vary between 6am/7am starts and 2pm/3pm finishes. Weekends are a must. We offer competitive pay, free food on shift, 50% staff discount and free gym membership. If this sounds interesting then send us a DM or email [email protected] to set up a chat. ☀️ AUGUST SPECIALS ☀️

🏫 As we start to think about back to school etc, feels like summer is winding down! We’ll stop those thoughts! There’s still a week left to come and grab our summer special salad, and keep the faith for a bit longer….the nights are still light and there’s even a bank holiday weekend on the way!

📢 Advance psa here too - we will be closed for two days 02/09-03/09 whilst we have some essential work done on our floor! Fingers crossed the sun continues for those days as the team will be manning the coffee cart, but it’ll be drinks and outside seating only.

🌶️ AUGUST SPECIALS 🌶️

😮‍💨 This months specials are exactly that - special! So much so I’ve just eaten all 3 so the best I can manage right now is a list of ingredients for each one….

🫒 Nduja, Mozzarella pearls, Olives & Basil on sourdough toast.
🍳 Golden Kimchi fried eggs, pickled cucumber, spring onion & miso butter on sourdough toast.
🫛 Runner beans, peas, broad beans, courgette, rocket, bulgar wheat, mint dressing, whipped Feta and red amaranth! This one is vegan too.

😴 So come and try one, or all of them, just maybe not at once if you’ve got work to do in the afternoon!
