We’re looking for a cafe assistant! The role will involve barista-ing, food preppings, and being all round nice friendly member of the team who greets and serves customers, gets on with day to day tasks, and laughs at our lame jokes

Without even shouting about it on socials, we sold out our first barista workshop which is happening this Thursday… turns out Farnham is keen to up its espresso game!

We can’t wait to welcome the first bunch of at-home brewers through the door tomorrow. Aidan has put together a fantastic 90 minute course in which we’ll explore how to pick an origin of coffee that’s right for you, how to brew at home, and a much asked-after diagnostic process to identify how your coffee is tasting and what you can do to adjust to your palette - one heck of an intro if we do say so

We have plenty of dates in the diary for this course throughout the year, so head across to our website to get booked on and get ready to raise that coffee game ☕️

A lot is going on behind the scenes at Higher Ground as we prepare to provide a hot food menu, but we’re kicking the week off by announcing that your lunchtime yearning for a proper sandwich can be solved here down in Borelli Yard as of TODAY.

HAPPE HALLOWEEN (if you know, you know)

October is wrapping up today, and Aidan has really gone to town with the Halloween spirit this month so we’ve hope you’ve enjoyed all the antics and that infamously misspelt banner

Half term is almost over, the parents rejoice, but just a reminder that we are here for that much needed caffeine fix today and tomorrow as the week winds down. Hot chocolates have been flying out (understandably), and our little brownie ghosts from just don’t seem to hang around

Almost a week on from hosting the utter delights that are the here in Borelli Yard for their HOKA Trainer event in collaboration with

Weekends are all about the switch off from the week that’s just gone by, and a chance to socialise and catch up with all that matters to you. There’s no social space quite like a coffee shop, so it felt like an absolute no-brainer to host the ladies of She Strides as they had a post-run debrief and coffee.

And whether you’ve been battling commutes with no tube service, working locally and avoiding the spontaneous downpours, or just adjusting back to the post-summer-holiday way of living, the good news is it’s Friday and it’s time for that socialising to commence

Wrapping up the week in Borelli Yard here tomorrow at 16:00. Drop by for your usual pastry antics, Flat Whites, and social catch ups 🚀

Lunch? Sorted.

As the fabled upstairs seating area opened, so too did the capacity to expand our lunch time offerings. You might have seen on stories already, but this has included the introduction of a seasonal salad bowl.

On the menu at the moment is a fantastic Black Quinoa Tabbouleh, layered over spinach with toppings of smoked paprika chickpeas and griddled aubergines. All finished off with a simple mint dressing, it’s perfect for a lunch fix which is sure to match the last of the warmer weeks of the summer. Happens to also be GF and Vegan, so everyone is a winner.

Drop by Higher Ground soon for a bite to eat. This new salad bowl sits happily amongst a couple of epic focaccia options which we’ll be sure to shout about in the coming days too 🚀

We’ve elevated our commitment to local produce by bringing you the most local and organic milk we can - introducing 🥛

Tom, founder of Milk Club and Bentley local is known by many of our followers simply as the Milk Man - he brings organic milk to homes across the area daily. Over the last few years, his company has rocketed in popularity and it’s no surprise to see. Sustainability is at his companies core, and we often see the electric milk van out on our local roads doing their round.

At Higher Ground, we’re committed to offering organic milk to our dairy drinkers. It therefore felt like a no-brainer to use Milk Clubs organic, thick whole milk to elevate those morning brews.

Although we’re now closed for the week, we’ll be back in town from Tuesday and will be pouring plenty of our local milk throughout the week. See you then ☕️
