Come and enjoy the afternoon and evening in our 2 acre garden.

Bar open 4pm - 8pm.

Due to personal reasons the Mermaids Plaice chip van won’t be with us today but the good news is that we are opening up our own kitchen so that our Monday regulars are not disappointed.

We will be serving fish, chips, scampi, sausage, cheesy chips, mushy peas.
All freshly cooked to order. Food served from 5-7pm

Just look at how gorgeous The New Inn is looking in this glorious sunshine.

Plenty of outside seating and space to enjoy both the sun and shade.

We are open today from 12-8pm for drinks.

Food is served from 12-3pm.

Today we have Sunday roasts as well as pub classics like lasagne, nachos, burgers and ribs.

Tomorrow is fish and chips with Mermaids Plaice 5-7pm, bar open 4-8pm.

Two of our staff members, Josh and Stu prove that we welcome all heights to The New Inn 😂 Josh finds the beams a little challenging but always smiles through his shift.

Just popping here to let you know that on Saturday 20th June we have a large event in the function room and field so our kitchen will be closed all day and night while we cater for that.

However the bar will be open as usual from 12noon-11pm

We will be serving food as usual on all other days and will be announcing our special Fathers Day menu soon. There are still a few tables left for that on Sunday 21st June.

The sun has made an appearance again so come and enjoy our garden later and some freshly cooked fish and chips from Mermaids Plaice.

Hello Sunday.

Or maybe it should be Cloud-day as the sun seems to have become shy today.
It has been lovely to have the sun shining brightly but it has been hot to work in.
I think we are all welcoming the gentle breeze and slight cloud cover.

Today is our usual Sunday Roast with a choice of pork with crackling, melt in the mouth slow roast beef or turkey breast. All come with all the trimmings including Yorkshire Puddings, stuffing, gravy, fresh veg, cauliflower cheese and today we also have honey roast parsnips.

There are other dishes to tempt you if roast isn’t your choice.

Wash it all down with a glass of wine, or a cold beer or cider. What weekends are made for.

While the sun continues we are pleased to offer lighter bites if you’re not feeling so hungry. Including lamb kofta with pitta bread and minted yoghurt dip, a ploughman’s lunch - choose from ham, cheddar or Stilton with baguette, butter, chutney, apple and pickled onions, and a butternut squash and pine nut crumble with new potatoes and salad.

We also have our full menu with all the favourites. This week has seen both our spare ribs and dirty nachos flying out.

This afternoon we can offer chips and cheesy chips between our lunch and evening service if you feel peckish on your way home so pop in and enjoy the afternoon sun in our garden.

Tomorrow is roast day and we have just a few tables left so suggest booking if you’d like to join us for a full roast or one of our other Sunday specials.
