October Movie Night - In Bruges
Maybe that’s what hell is, the entire rest of eternity spent in fu***ng Bruges.
Join us for a screening of In Bruges - where the b**r is Belgian, the buildings are medieval, the alcoves are plentiful, and Ray would very much like to know why the f**k he has to be there.
Sent to Bruges to lie low after a job goes spectacularly wrong, Ray and Ken have some time to kill. Ken embraces the culture, the canals and the sightseeing. Ray embraces complaining about all of it. Then Harry calls… and suddenly the bell tower isn’t the most dangerous thing in town.
Expect Belgian b**r, existential crises, questionable sightseeing, angry gangsters, a very memorable bell tower, one extremely ill-advised night out and enough profanity to make a Belgian nun blush.
Two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I’m heading home.

This stylish black-comedy thriller stars Ralph Fiennes as Harry, a vicious London crime-boss, who sends his two hit-men to the picturesque Belgian city of Bruges - to lay low and wait for orders. While Ken (Brenden Gleeson) is happy just to sight-see(!), his fast-talking partner, Ray (Colin Farrell ) sets-out for adventure. Before long, Ray is experiencing hilariously surreal encounters with tourists, skinheads, dwarves and prostitutes! When, at last, the call comes from Harry, the fun turns to a life-and-death struggle of darkly comic proportions.

It’s picturesque. It’s miserable. It’s like a fu***ng fairytale.
