Empty plates, contented diners and wide smiles provide us with all the motivation we need. There's a proud pedigree behind the team at the Jack and Craig's cooking has confidence, precision and excitement in equal measure. Winter 2023 marks the continuation of our 30th year as a Devon dining institution. Our beef and pork travel no distance at all, chicken and duck are both free range. Local game features on the Specials board when birds are in season and at their best. During the warmer months there is a stylish courtyard for dining alfresco. As a venue the Jack can also host wedding receptions, conferences, large parties and breakfast meetings. We will always go the extra mile to try and cater for specific requirements and to surpass our guests expectations.

4-day working week | approx. 40 hours

Annual business closure over Christmas period.

Aiming for you to have one weekend day off a week, to be discussed at interview.

We’re looking for a CDP to join our kitchen team. You’ll work 4 days per week, averaging 40 hours, with good tips on top of your basic pay.

What we offer:
• Spacious professional kitchen
• Working with the best local produce from suppliers we have long standing relationships with
• Creative input towards new menu dishes
• Free on site parking

What we’re looking for:
• Previous CDP experience
• Able to confidently run a section
• Good prep and service skills
• Reliable and organised
• Comfortable working split shifts
• Weekend availability — either Saturday or Sunday each week
