The Three Horseshoes is your escape this summer. No screens. No commentary. No chants. Just a proper Devon country pub, a quiet pint, brilliant local food and the warmest welcome.

Long lunches. Sunday roasts. Dogs by the fire. Sun-trap beer garden. Giant Jenga instead of penalties.

Devon is rugby anyway right 😉🏈 ??

The one exception - if England go deep we may put one or two of their games on !

Just to clear this up a little, this was never meant as a negative post and certainly not anti football.

We wish England well and we’ll be supporting them all the way. We’re just not planning to show every game.

It’s really just about choice. Not everyone wants to watch the Grand Prix, the horse racing, the snooker final, rugby, or football every time they go to the pub. Each to their own.

In the trade, pubs all have slightly different offers. Some are sports pubs, some are wet led, some are destination food pubs, some are a bit of everything. We’re simply trying to be honest about what we are offering, respect the pubs that do the football thing really well, and let our customers know what to expect before they visit.

There are also practical bits behind the scenes with planning, licensing, staffing and late kick off times, so it is never quite as simple as just sticking the football on.

Sorry if it came across as anti football. It really wasn’t intended that way. We’ll be cheering England on, we’re just also keeping a space for people who want a quieter pint while the tournament is on.

We’ve had so many of you asking, so here are our current opening times for both the bar and kitchen.
Whether you’re joining us for a midweek pint, a relaxed lunch, or dinner with family and friends, we’re looking forward to welcoming you through the doors.

Chef Joe, Grace and the team have been overwhelmed by the support since launching the kitchen, and we’re excited to continue building on that with great food, quality local ingredients, and a warm Devon country pub welcome.

What a weekend! 🍻

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our kitchen soft launch.

The support we’ve received over the past few weeks has been incredible, and we’re genuinely overwhelmed by the number of people who have come through the doors, shared kind words, and supported what we’re building here at The Three Horseshoes.

It’s been fantastic to see so many familiar faces alongside new ones, all enjoying Chef Joe’s food and helping us make this next chapter so special.

The kitchen returns this weekend at The Three Horseshoes 🍽️

Are you joining us for our soft launch weekend?

From Friday through to Sunday, we’ll be welcoming you back to enjoy Chef Joe’s delicious food, proper country pub atmosphere and a warm Three Horseshoes welcome.

Bookings are recommended, but if you haven’t managed to book yet, don’t worry, walk-ins are always welcome.

From next week (4th June), our lunch and evening service will begin from Thursday onwards as we gradually increase our opening days and booking availability over the coming weeks.
