Food glorious food, but no cold sausage and mustard here - or was it hot sausage? (if you know, you know…).

We promised to share more food posts, so here we are showcasing another of our newest and most popular dishes, and this one is for the vegetarians amongst you: mushroom wellington. Our socials often showcase big chunks of meat, particularly for our Sunday dinner, but our menu has something for everyone, and we want our meat-free dishes to be just as delicious…which they are! 🤤

Let’s give a big shoutout to our chef, who, let’s be honest, is a genius in the kitchen.

Today is National Dog Day, which is the perfect opportunity to remind you that we are a dog-friendly pub!

Ely is packed full of dog owners, so we would be stupid not to welcome them in with open arms. And not only do we want them here, but we even have a pretty cool water station and free treats! What more could a pooch want?

If you are on the hunt for a new dog-friendly pub to enjoy a meal or cold pint in, then maybe we could be your new local. Your four-legged friend might even make a new drinking buddy, too.

Park Lane, a punk rock covers band, are popping by this Friday (10 til late) to kick off the bank holiday weekend and show you guys what they have got. And let’s just say it’s pretty impressive.

If this sounds like a bit of you, then you know what you need to do: grab some mates and head on down for an evening of drinks and music. Bank holiday weekends are not a time to be boring…

The quiz starts at 7:30pm and is just £3 per person. Teams of between 2 and 6 people are required. If you are a Harry Potter fan, then come and prove it…

Happening tonight and we can not wait. Looking forward to Glazed Designs hosting this event later this evening…

There is only one week to go until our next fantastic pottery event! These are always very popular, and there are still a few spaces available.

We are being joined by Leslee Horrey for an evening of pottery painting and prosecco. Tickets are just £10, and pottery items can be purchased on the evening, meaning there is no pressure to make your choice in advance. Just turn up and have fun!

We have some bad news: there will be no Sunday Sessions this weekend 😭. But do you want to know the good news? It’s because we have moved our live music to Monday instead to mark the bank holiday!! 🤩🤩🤩

Bandeoke are back by popular demand to help us celebrate the three-day weekend. And we are very excited, as these guys always bring the fun and get everyone joining in.

See you there at the usual time, 4-7pm, for a singalong and a little boogie, if you so choose. We certainly won’t stop you!

Tomorrow is a big day here at The Hereward: it’s the start of the Premier League! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

The World Cup was such a huge event for so many of our customers that when it reached an end, it was an emotional time…there were even a few tears shed. But cheer up because tomorrow marks the start of the next chapter in the sporting world.

The excitement kicks off at 8pm when Arsenal and Coventry go head-to-head. Come and watch the match live here and soak up the atmosphere with a drink and maybe something delicious from our menu. You will be spoilt for choice!
