We always harp on about our pub being dog-friendly because many places in Ely aren’t…so you need to know they are welcome here! 🤗

But we don’t talk enough about being family-friendly. This seems a little more obvious, but what does it mean? Well, it means not only would we love you to bring your children here, but we actually want them to feel relaxed and eager to return. We offer a separate kids’ menu (with all the classics!) and plenty of colouring to keep them occupied.

Why not book a table here for your next family meal? This weekend seems the perfect time…

The Hereward offers something for everyone, from live music to quizzes, DJs, and karaoke. We even have the date for our next Big Quiz. Get that diary open!

We also have a delicious menu you need to sample; we highly recommend trying… well, everything! Whatever your thing, come and join us. Something here will definitely catch your eye.

We promised to share more food posts, so here we are showcasing another of our most popular dishes. Today, we have something for the cheese lovers out there, which must be everyone. It’s hard to imagine someone who doesn’t like cheese.

Picture this: baked brie, with filo crisps, hot honey and olive oil crotons. It doesn’t get more indulgent. You could share, but we wouldn’t recommend it…

Just our pub looking gorgeous in the sunshine…may as well make the grid look pretty before the cold, dark, miserable weather arrives 😆.

But it’s not all doom and gloom. Why? Because cold weather also means cosy pubs and hearty meals. Why stay at home when you can hang out here and treat yourself to something delicious off one of our menus? There’s a rumour going around that our Sunday dinners are pretty impressive!

Did you know that, in addition to our usual dishes, we also offer a smaller appetites menu? This was originally aimed at our lovely senior citizens, but we felt it was fairer to make these smaller (and therefore cheaper) options available to anyone and everyone who just wants a little something.

We aim to support our local community where we can, and alongside our kids’ menu, we want to make sure there is something for every member of the family!

This selection of delicious dishes is served every day from 12 to 4pm. Does anything catch your eye? Why not join us one day this week and give it a try…

This is your reminder that our weekly Monday quiz is back…starting TONIGHT.

Have you booked your place? Teams can be up to six people, and it is just £3 per head. This is always a big hit with our regular quiz-goers, so why not come along and become one of them…it’s a bit of a cult, but one you definitely want to be part of.

Here at The Hereward, Sundays are all about live music, good food and drinks with friends and family. We started these events to bring everyone together to round off the weekend; we even brought the time forward so that families with children can come and enjoy the music too.

Next weekend, for our Sunday Sessions, we are being joined by Just Jammin’ between 4-7pm. Are you joining us??

There will be no Sunday Sessions this Sunday due to the Premier League, but why not join us for that too! We show all the matches LIVE on the many big screens scattered throughout the pub.

Since we changed our menu at the start of the year, it has been a big hit. We listened to the dishes our locals wanted to see and switched things up. Today is about giving a huge thank you to all our customers – old and new – for the positive feedback and for spreading the word.

If you haven’t tried our food, then this is your sign! Don’t forget we also have a packed schedule of events throughout the week, from our Monday quiz through to regular DJ sets and live bands on the weekends.

We look forward to seeing more new faces over the autumn months…

Tonight’s the night The Casuals!! 🤩

Live music on a Friday night? Erm, yes please!

This Friday we will be joined by The Casuals from 10pm for an evening of 90s Britpop and modern indie rock covers. Now don’t tell us that doesn’t get you excited…

Oh, and don’t forget that the Sunday Sessions are also back this weekend. See you there between 4-7 with the whole family because everyone is welcome on a Sunday afternoon!
