Fish and Chips on a Thursday 🐟🍟

Oh, Thursday evening, skies of grey,
There’s only one thing to brighten the day.
Forget the cooking, forget the dish,
Tonight I’m having my favourite fish!

Golden batter, crispy and light,
Chips piled high, what a wonderful sight.
A splash of vinegar, salt just right,
Fish and chips make Thursday night!

Wrapped up warm in paper so neat,
A little taste of heaven, a wonderful treat.
With mushy peas on the side for me,
It’s the finest meal that there could be.

Some wait for Friday, that’s tradition,
But Thursday’s chips deserve recognition!
For life feels better, worries slip,
With every bite of that tasty fish supper trip.

So raise your fork and give a cheer,
The best day of the week is finally here!
Who needs a feast or a fancy dish,

The Tuck Inn will be open from 12pm on the 7th, for all those that are coming into the village a bit earlier.

The cafe is fully booked for a private party on this evening also.

The plan so far is to be open but with numerous fallen trees cutting off staff members access to the village we could be on skeleton staff.

Keeping that in mind please be patient with the staff that do make it in.
