🍵 GenMatcha Burnt Cheesecake 🍰

Something Warm has baked our very first GenMatcha Burnt Cheesecake!

Originating from Spain's Basque Country, Basque burnt cheesecake is baked at a high temperature, giving it its signature caramelized, "burnt" top while keeping the inside irresistibly creamy and custard-like.

For our own twist, we've infused it with GenMatcha—a harmonious blend of Japanese genmaicha and matcha. Beneath its beautifully caramelized surface lies a rich, velvety cheesecake, where the earthy green tea notes blend seamlessly with the warm, toasty, nutty aroma of roasted rice.

A comforting balance of sweet, creamy, and aromatic in every bite.

✨ Mont Blanc Coffee ✨

One of the questions we've been asked most often is: "Do you serve coffee?"

Since opening Something Warm, we've focused on specialty chocolate and tea. But we've also been exploring ways to gradually introduce coffee-inspired drinks and desserts—and here's our first one.

☕️ Mont Blanc Coffee

Inspired by the Mont Blanc Coffee first created at Good Measure Cafe in Melbourne, our version features iced cold brew coffee topped with a citrus-infused cream foam, finished with fresh citrus zest and a touch of grated nutmeg.

The result is a beautifully balanced drink: the richness and bitterness of coffee softened by a creamy sweetness, with bright citrus notes that make it especially refreshing on warm days.

It's not your everyday coffee—it's one to slow down with, savour, and enjoy during a well-deserved break.

🍵 Matcha Cloud & Iced Matcha Latte

After introducing our Hojicha Cloud and Iced Hojicha Latte, we’re excited to finally welcome Matcha Cloud and Iced Matcha Latte to our special tdrinks menu.

Matcha has become a global café favourite in recent years. However, at Something Warm, we chose not to rush its introduction—or Hojicha’s. Instead, we focused first on building a strong foundation with our signature chocolate drinks and carefully curated loose-leaf tea selection.

We believe that preparing and serving Matcha properly is an art in itself. It requires the same dedication, understanding, and attention to detail that we bring to every drink we serve. We wanted to wait until we were fully ready to do it justice.

With the wide range of Matcha available today and the continued rise in ingredient costs, we took our time to carefully source and select a quality Matcha from Japan that meets our standards. Our goal is simple: to offer the best Matcha experience we can while staying true to our commitment to quality.

Delicately prepared and thoughtfully balanced, our Matcha Cloud and Iced Matcha Latte are refreshing, subtly sweet, and allow the distinctive character of Matcha to shine through.

Hojicha is a roasted Japanese green tea known for its nutty, earthy, and toasty flavour.

🍓 Strawberry Chocolate

The pairing of strawberry and chocolate was first popularised by Lorraine Lorusso, who dipped fresh strawberries in tempered chocolate at her gourmet shop in Chicago. The creation soon became iconic, inspiring countless desserts, confectioneries, and chocolate drinks ever since.

With strawberry season now here, it’s the perfect time to enjoy this classic combination at its freshest.

Our Strawberry Chocolate drink is crafted with 50% milk chocolate and our in-house strawberry concentrate, made from fresh, sweet UK strawberries with a touch of mint. No artificial flavours — just smooth, gentle sweetness, authentic strawberry notes, and a refreshing hint of mint on the finish.

From Hakawa Chocolate to Something Warm 🍫🫖

It’s been just over three months since we opened our doors at Millar Crescent in January 2026. As we continue settling into this new chapter, we’d love to share a little more about who we are.

At heart, we are chocolate makers and tea lovers. For 7–8 years in Hong Kong, we crafted bean-to-bar chocolate in a tiny 7-square-metre workshop called Hakawa Chocolate ( Hakawa Chocolate ), making everything from scratch.
From sourcing raw cacao beans directly from farmers to sorting, roasting, winnowing, grinding, tempering, and finally moulding each bar—along with creating chocolate drinks and confections—every step was carried out with care and intention.

Today, our setting at Something Warm may look different, but our vision remains the same: to create authentic, high-quality food and drinks while building connections with people and communities through food, culture, and shared experiences.
We’re grateful to be here, excited for what’s ahead, and we hope to welcome you soon for a cup of our speciality chocolate or tea

Citrus Chocolate 🍊🍫
A new addition to our drinks menu — Citrus Chocolate.

Citrus fruits are the perfect partner to dark chocolate. Their fresh, fruity, and zesty notes balance its rich, intense creaminess while bring out its brighter flavours.

Our Citrus Chocolate is made with 70%+ dark chocolate and our house-made citrus syrup, crafted from oranges, lemons, and limes sourced from local farmers’ markets, gently infused with sweet spices. The result is a harmonious blend of deep chocolate richness and vibrant citrus aroma.

Enjoy it hot for a cosy treat on a moody, chilly day, or iced for something bright and refreshing in the sunshine. Whenever the mood calls — it’s yours to enjoy.

In addition to the cherry cake we featured earlier, we’re delighted to introduce artisan shortbread from Alex Dalgetty & Sons a 5th generation bakery based in Galashiels, in the Scottish Borders.

Their original butter shortbread is renowned for its delicate, crumbly texture and rich flavour, while the fruit shortbread is studded with currants. Both are hand-cut and baked to perfection in their traditional oven.

We serve these classic Scottish shortbreads with a dollop of house-made caramel sauce or jam, handmade with seasonal produce from Ovenstone Organic.
