Just something I’d like to mention, as it’s coming up more and more in my inbox…
I’ve had quite a few enquiries recently from people who are comparing quotes (which is absolutely fine) or looking for the cheapest cake available. I completely understand that everyone has a budget, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.
That said, if price is your main deciding factor, I’m probably not the right cake maker for you.
I don’t base my business on being the cheapest. My pricing reflects the time, skill and dedication behind every cake, years of experience, high-quality ingredients, and the attention to detail that goes into creating a bespoke design.
If you do have a budget, please don’t hesitate to tell me. I’m always happy to suggest a design that works within it if I can and if I feel I can’t offer what you’re looking for, I’ll gladly recommend another talented local baker who may be a better fit.
A custom cake is much more than flour, sugar and buttercream. You’re paying for creativity, craftsmanship, experience and the many hours that go into making something truly special.
