Due to the hot weather today, our team will be taking regular short breaks to stay safe and keep cool.

We’ll still be serving as quickly as we can, but please bear with us if things take a little longer than usual. A bit of patience and kindness will go a long way today.

Also, as much as we love seeing your dogs, it really is too hot for them here today. Please leave them somewhere cool and safe.

☀️ East Preston is bringing the heat this week…

If you’re looking for a spot to escape, grab an iced drink, enjoy a bite to eat and soak up a little seaside sunshine, we’ve got a table waiting for you at Salt.

The parasols are up, the coffee is flowing, and the ice creams are disappearing faster than a parking space on the seafront. 🍦😅

And a little heads up… Friday is National Cream Tea Day. Keep an eye on our page because we may have something rather tasty planned. 👀

The only sensible plan is beach, sea air and ice cream from Salt.

Mr Whippy, freezer favourites, cold drinks and a spot by the beach waiting for you.

Sun cream on, ice cream in hand, complain about the heat like a true Brit.

Fish Finger Friday has officially arrived at Salt 🐟

Crispy fish fingers, proper bread, beach views and just enough lettuce to make us feel like responsible adults.

Perfect for a Friday lunch by the sea, especially if you are in East Preston and need a very valid excuse to wander down to the beach.

East Preston weather forecast: optimistic, then soggy, then “shall we still go to the beach anyway?”

Luckily, our terrace is fully covered, so you can still get your Salt fix, watch the sea do its thing and pretend this was the plan all along. Without needing to wring yourself out afterwards.

Whether you are walking down from the village, popping along the seafront, or escaping the house for a coffee and a sea view, we have got you covered. Literally 👌

Did you know, today is International Picnic Day? Which is basically official permission to eat lunch near the sea and call it wholesome. 👌

Grab your beach snacks from Salt, a sandwich, coffee, cake or ice cream and make East Preston beach your local dining room. Just try not to lose your napkin in the wind... 🤣

When the Whippy machine says ready, it means business. No faffing, no committee meeting, just ice cream. 🍦

And with GCSE exams almost finally over, we reckon lazy beach days, sea air and a proper Mr Whippy are basically compulsory.

Pop down, grab one, and tag us in your best beach and ice cream photos. Bonus points for sandy shoes, dramatic first bites, or anyone claiming they only wanted “a small one”.

The ice cream dream team from Salt absolutely smashed it yesterday at East Preston Festival. 🍦

All day serving Mr Whippy, keeping the queues moving, and proving that sunshine, sprinkles and a flake can solve approximately 87% of life’s problems.

Huge thank you to everyone who came over, said hello, grabbed an ice cream, or bravely attempted to eat one before it melted down their hand.

This weekend at East Preston Festival, we’re proud to be supporting Turning Tides and their wild swim in support of local people experiencing homelessness.

Anyone taking part in the swim can pop over to Salt afterwards for a free tea or coffee on us.

Nothing fancy. Just proper post swim fuel for people who have willingly walked into the sea and somehow called it “refreshing”.

We’d love to see your photos from the day, especially the brave before swim smiles and the very honest after swim faces.
