The team behind the Auldhouse Arms are delighted to announce a new pop up food concept. On November 24th they will be joined by renowned Indian chef Rohan Wadke. 🙌🏾

Rohan might be familiar to some, having made it to the quarter-finals of Masterchef back in 2016. He also runs Rohan's Kitchen, a takeaway place run out of his own kitchen in the Clarkston area. Rohan's also a much loved hotel chef who is well renowned for going foraging under the Kingston Bridge.

Rohan has worked across a number of award winning restaurants from Michelin star venues to cooking in the Houses of Parliament.

The Auldhouse team have been excited about this pop-up for a long time. On the night you can expect some Indian delights, local specials and some behind the scenes chat and chillies or maybe a wee cooking demonstration from Rohan himself.

It's shaping up to be a great event and the Auldhouse team can't wait to welcome you along.

Unfortunately, with a heavy heart and great sadness, we're sorry to announce that for the final time - we have closed the doors of the Swan Inn, with immediate effect! This decision has been unavoidable and was taken out of our hands, due to the Landlord proposing a major rent increase in our upcoming lease renewal. We have tried our very best to continue trading in these difficult times, adhering to all COVID restrictions and we were given the final blow of a proposed rent increase that we can not sustain.

First of all, we would like to thank everyone in the village and around the local area for the unimaginable support over the past 6 years. We have made so many friends in the community and developed such a big family here.

We are devastated to have no alternative but to make this decision due to the proposed rent increase and the effect of the Covid Restrictions over the last two years. It has of course been very difficult during such hard and unprecedented times, for a small family-run business like ours.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who worked for or with us, and all those behind the scenes who helped us out or inspired us in any way over the last 6 years. We are forever grateful!

It is our sincerest hope that the pub can be reopened and brought back to life, under someone else’s leadership.

We are definitely going to miss all of these characters, and wish each and every one of our customers all the very best for the future. We hope you all stay safe…
