Come and enjoy an afternoon of live Rat Pack, Swing & Jazz with The Swing Pins at The John Barleycorn, Duxford.

This will be our last hurrah in the garden before the renovations begin, so let’s make it one to remember! Grab a drink, soak up the atmosphere, and enjoy an afternoon of fantastic live music.

🔥 A New Chapter Begins at The John Barleycorn, Duxford 🔥

We’re incredibly excited to announce that from next Wednesday we’ll be welcoming a head chef whose talent has previously been recognised by the Swindon Advertiser, where his passion, creativity and approach to cooking earned local attention.

He is a chef with serious pedigree — having trained and worked alongside Gordon Ramsay and Marco Pierre White, bringing a wealth of high-end kitchen experience and a passion for bold, flavour-driven food.

He’s joining us to lead the kitchen with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients, classic pub favourites and exciting daily specials, and we can’t wait for you to experience what’s to come.

Please note: Our main kitchen will be closed until next Wednesday while we prepare for the new launch.

🌭 This weekend we’re firing up the BBQ instead! 🍔

Join us for an incredible day of fun, entertainment, and community spirit, all in support of the Soapbox Derby and to help raise money for Cancer Research.

💛 £3 entry on the gate – with 100% of entry fees going to charity.

A Polite Notice to Our Wonderful Locals

Just a quick note to let everyone know that tomorrow, Sunday 19th July, we will be closing from 5:00pm to celebrate our amazing team and to thank everyone who has helped and supported us on our journey so far.

It’s our chance to show our appreciation for all the hard work, dedication, and commitment that goes into making The John Barleycorn what it is.

We’ll be reopening as normal on Monday from 3:00pm and look forward to welcoming you back then.
