James will be bringing his amazing tunes and brilliant energy with him.

FATHERS DAY BBQ AT THE STAGS
This Sunday 21st June, weather dependant! but they do say the sun is going to shine!! We are firing up the barbie for Fathers Day and guess who we are putting in charge? .… Nige. Yes, really. 🔥🍔
He will be manning the grill from 4–7pm, flipping burgers like he’s auditioning for MasterChef (we’re not saying he’d get through… but he will definitely make good TV) 😅
And because it’s Father’s Day, 1st beer free for dad with first order of food.
🍺 Come for the food, stay to see if Nige sets his apron on fire.
Bring your dad, your appetite… and maybe a fire extinguisher 🔥😉

This Saturday we will be closing The Stags from 3pm as we get ready to host a very special evening celebration for two of our village favourites — Jamie & Denise.

We’ll be open for drinks and lunch from 12–2.30pm, then closing at 3pm to prepare for their wedding party.

The hospitality sector has come together to launch – a united campaign and petition calling for hospitality VAT to be reduced from 20% to 10%.

Spearheaded by chef and publican Tom Kerridge, we’re working alongside trade bodies across the sector, such as British Beer & Pub Association and Hospitality Action, hospitality communities like CODE Hospitality, and you, businesses across hospitality, to say 10% VAT is fair for hospitality.

Our sector pays too much tax, and VAT is the single biggest lever the Government can pull to support venues, our customers, our high streets and our local communities.

This campaign is for everyone: businesses, customers, waiting staff, chefs, kitchen porters, bar staff, hotel teams, farmers, brewers, suppliers and producers.
