This is exactly why I had to close. This is probably why they’re going to take my house for the money
I owe. Absolute taxation without representation! It’s a real problem and most hospitality businesses are hanging on by a thread. My whole investment, my effort, my energy, customer relationships and dare I say my joy and my passion have been squashed because of an unrelenting, dysfunctional government looking to control every last £pound in circulation.

Working on some pop up venues recently. Costing it all out and gauging interest. I’ll do our fried chicken as strips or as a burger (sorry no wraps initially). Korean and buffalo tacos. I’ll also do our 3 popular burgers, animal, California and bacon cheeseburger, all with fries. We’ll do animal fries and halloumi fries. Have a new menu item I’ve been dying to try so I’ll be posting that one closer to the time. Lastly I’ll have a homemade veggie burger ive been wanting to put on forever. Not sure exactly when all this will happen, but sooner than later.

The big question is, will you come? Give us a heart ❤️ to show interest?

The event will be on a Friday or Saturday, leaning towards Saturday . If it works we’ll do it maybe twice a month. It may not be in town, probably Ardentinny or sandbank areas. It won’t be takeaway initially due to costs for packaging etc. I may need to take bookings and deposits.

I know I’m redundant and incessant. But I miss my cafe. All that hard work just washed away into nothingness. The freedom and freedom of expression. My beautiful staff and amazing customers. Just gone. If soul destroying means anything, it’s the definition of what I feel. Been looking at spaces in Lochgilphead. Hmmmm….maybe it’s time for a change.

Just wanted to let you know I’ll be closing the LHC page soon.

After much consideration, I have arrived at the decision that I will not be moving forward with opening another retail food business in Dunoon. I really loved doing my style of food and there’s still a good chance I’ll continue with some pop ups and perhaps catering in other venues locally.

I also have a few ideas I’m working on currently and hope to be able to disclose some details real soon.

I received a text last night from my “Charlie’s angels” as I now call them after this beautiful photo.

They said they missed me via voice text.

Wait until you see what this space will become! So happy for you the new owner and his business venture!

I figure out if I can change name to new shop.

If not I’ll post details of new FB page and hopefully you’ll continue to follow.

Thank you all again so much for supporting us and all the beautiful comments and reviews. Local Hero has been part of my life’s journey and a very memorable one at that for many reasons. Dream fulfilled! I tried to do it different and better. Right or wrong, I did it my way!
