Weโ€™re almost lost for words. The response to our very first Sunday roasts has been quite something!

The food, the atmosphere, the team, the customers, the messages and the lovely things youโ€™ve said. It was one of those days where you could just feel the buzz in the pub. Honestly, the best feeling weโ€™ve had in here yet.

A huge shoutout to Terry for doing such a fantastic job, and to our incredible team who pulled together to make it all happen.

To everyone who joined us, supported us and took the time to share such lovely feedback, THANK YOU. Weโ€™re genuinely overwhelmed and so incredibly grateful.

And weโ€™re only just getting started!

Weโ€™re already preparing for this weekโ€™s Wednesday to Saturday menu, with our Sunday roasts returning and going from strength to strength each week. Little tweaks, lots of learning and plenty more to come.

Days like this remind us exactly why weโ€™re doing it.

Weโ€™re still a little lost for words after last night. Completely overwhelmed, incredibly grateful and honestly in absolute awe of what was such a special evening at The Black Lion.

A huge thank you to Top Knot Chef for bringing the most incredible Spanish tapas to our little village pub. The food was outstanding, but it was everything else that made the evening. The atmosphere, the energy, the laughter, the people, the vibes. Every table full, glasses raised and a room absolutely buzzing. It was everything we hoped for and so much more.

To everyone who joined us, supported us, booked a table, brought their friends and made the evening what it was, THANK YOU. Nights like these remind us exactly why weโ€™re doing this. Weโ€™re so lucky to have such incredible customers and to be part of this community.

And now, after a little time to catch our breath (and probably a lot of coffee!), weโ€™re getting ready for another firstโ€ฆ our very first Sunday Lunch tomorrow! We cannot wait.

If last night has left us feeling anything, itโ€™s even more excited for whatโ€™s still to come. Next up, weโ€™re welcoming Chef Bruno Cooks to The Black Lion for an incredible Malaysian menu. And if last night is anything to go by, you wonโ€™t want to miss it!

Things are about to get a little tastier at The Black Lion, and this week is just the kick-start!

As always, we have light lunches and pizzas on the go, but hereโ€™s whatโ€™s coming upโ€ฆ

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ Friday night kicks things off! Our first private chef event is SOLD OUT! Top Knot Chef joins us in the restaurant for a Spanish Tapas evening, bringing a taste of Spain to High Roding. Not booked in for tapas? Donโ€™t worry, weโ€™ll still have pizzas flying out of the kitchen at the bar.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Sunday, 12-6pm: Our VERY FIRST Sunday Roast! And for everyone whoโ€™s been askingโ€ฆ yes, the much-loved cheesy leeks are staying firmly on the menu. We listened! โ™ฅ๏ธ

What a weekend! โ™ฅ๏ธ

We just wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone who has visited us, supported us, spread the word and helped make our first few weeks such a busy one. Weโ€™re so grateful for the warm welcome weโ€™ve received from the village and beyond.

Behind the scenes, thereโ€™s plenty going on as we continue to find our feet, get things in place and bring some exciting plans to life. Thereโ€™s a lot of hard work happening behind those bar doors, and we canโ€™t wait to share more with you.
