Our village festival begins tomorrow, and it's a big day

8 am to 12pm - Car Boot Sale & Art Exhibition - Old Primary School

12 pm - Parade featuring Mid Ulster Mayor , local sports clubs , local societies and vintage tractors and bikes - from Church of Ireland to Playing Fields

1 pm to 4 pm - Family Fun Day - Sports , Entertainment , Games , Food, Music, -Playing Fields

4 pm to 7 pm - Historical Walking tour of the key sites in the village starting at Priory at 4 pm

8 pm - Historical Quiz - The Bottle of Benburb

Today we say goodbye to one of the very best.
After years as part of the McAnallens Benburb SPAR family, Shane is leaving us to begin the next chapter of his career as an optician.
Shane is one of those rare people who quietly makes everything better. Unassuming, humble and incredibly hardworking, nothing was ever too much trouble. He got on with every task with a smile, never looked for recognition, and was always willing to help wherever he was needed.
He truly is one of the loveliest souls you could ever meet. Customers and colleagues alike have been so fortunate to know him, and our shop simply won't be the same without him.
Of course, many also know Shane as a world champion dancer – a remarkable achievement that reflects the same dedication and commitment he has brought to our team every single day.
Shane, thank you for everything you've done for us. We are so proud of you and can't wait to see all you achieve in your new career. We know you'll be an incredible optician.
