Dundee City Aquatics

Dundee City Aquatics Swimming Lessons & Competitive Swimming Club in Dundee We train at a number of locations throught the city.

We have had many successes at all levels and age groups throughout the club including the winning of both the Premier and 1st Divisions. Many individuals have also had success at local and national level

Any potential new swimmers can come along to one of our Come and Try Sessions on various Sundays throughout the year. Our catchment area generally covers in and around Dundee and draws many swimmers from the Angus and North Fife areas who benefit from the facilities and coaching we provide. At the end of 2008 we added a 'diving' section which is now up and running and our divers are competing at Scottish National level. This section of the club will develop further during 2009. The website will contain all the latest information relating to club events and activities

Our Disability Learn to Swim Programme has been very fortunate tp have received a donation of Β£5000 from Help For Kids to support the ongoing running costs of the programme.

DLTS Coach Jacqui says:

"DCA's Disability Learn to Swim Programme is hugely grateful for the donation that was made this year by Help for Kids. The donation has meant that the swimming programme can continue for another full year at St John's High School pool. It means that we have been able to open up classes to new participants in 2026 and it means we can provide opportunities for swimming to more children in Dundee and the surrounding areas. So thank you very much Help for Kids!"

Look out for more news on updates and achievements related to DLTS throughout the next year!

SPONSORSHIP FOR SKINS EVENT

If any of our members have/ are part of or know a business who might consider sponsoring our Autumn Meet Skins event then please contact Zara our club secretary on [email protected]
This event is an exciting, elimination-style sprint tournament where the fastest swimmers from previous events compete in consecutive, back-to-back knockout rounds. 4 events take place at the end of each day with prize money awarded to the top 3 for each race (1st-Β£50, 2nd-Β£30, 3rd-Β£20) . So in total for all 8 event this costs the club Β£800 for which we try to seek sponsorship for.

In return we will promote the sponsor throughout the weekend at the gala with announcements/advertisement including posters and promotion on our page and WhatsApp community. We would also encourage our sponsor to attend the event and present the prize money to the winners. If this is something you or someone you know can help with then please get in touchπŸ™

What a brilliant day we had at the Forfar Mini Meet yesterday! πŸŠβ€β™€οΈπŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ

We had 24 swimmers represent the Club, and what a day it was! We saw medals, speeding tickets (for being too fast! πŸš€) and, most importantly, plenty of PBs!

It was wonderful to see all the hard work, dedication and effort the swimmers put into training each week paying off in the pool.

A huge well done to everyone who competed. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves! πŸ‘

A big thank you also to our coaches and STOs for their support to allow the gala to be accredited.
