📢 We’re Hiring! 📢

Endrick Property and Drymen Bakery are looking for a Part-Time Bookkeeper / Administrator to join our team.

This is a varied role supporting two established local businesses, helping with bookkeeping, accounts administration and general office tasks.

📍 Based in Balfron, Drymen, or a combination of both locations

⏰ Approximately 16 hours per week initially
📈 Potential for additional hours in the future
💷 £15.00 per hour
✅ Flexible working arrangements available

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Organised and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working independently
• Experienced in bookkeeping and office administration
• Friendly, professional and trustworthy

Responsibilities include:

• Bookkeeping and general accounts administration
• Processing invoices and supplier payments
• Bank reconciliations
• Maintaining financial records
• General office administration
• Assisting with paperwork for both Endrick Property and Drymen Bakery

This role would suit someone looking for flexible part-time work within a friendly local business environment.

A slightly different and perhaps unusual post for us. This is about David, owner of Drymen Bakery & Deli.

As many local people will know, David Mackie represents an area including Drymen, Croftamie, Balmaha, Gartocharn, Gartmore, Rowardennan and Port of Menteith on the board of the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park Authority. This is an elected position, and David is now standing for re-election to continue representing local people, businesses and communities over the next four years.

During his time on the board, David has worked closely with communities across the ward, regularly visiting villages, attending local meetings and listening to the views of residents, community groups and businesses.

Many people already stop for a chat with David at the bakery, and he also meets countless visitors to the National Park every year. It gives him a valuable insight into both the opportunities and challenges facing our communities, something he genuinely enjoys and values.

If you live within the East Loch Lomond and Port of Menteith ward, please remember to cast your vote. Every vote matters, and David would be delighted to have your support.

A big thank you to everyone who came in yesterday to celebrate our birthday with us, and to those who sent such kind messages online.

I can hardly believe it has been five years. The time has flown by. It feels like only yesterday that we opened our doors, and what a journey it has been.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers who have supported us along the way. Whether you’re a visitor passing through our lovely village or one of our wonderful local regulars, your support means the world to us.

A special thank you also goes to everyone who has worked at the bakery over the past five years. Your hard work, dedication and friendship have all played a part in making Drymen Bakery what it is today.
