Here at The Nelson Tavern, serving fresh, quality food is at the heart of what we do. With Joe’s passion and focus on fresh fish and seafood, we believe it’s just as important to know where our ingredients come from as it is to know how they’re prepared. That’s why, wherever possible, we’re proud to support our local fishermen and source fish from right here on our doorstep.

Much of the fish we serve makes the short journey from Mudeford Quay, just 0.6 miles from The Nelson Tavern. By sourcing locally, we can serve beautifully fresh fish while supporting the fishermen and suppliers within our local community. From the quay to the kitchen and onto your plate - it really doesn’t get much fresher than that! 🌊

Sunday calls for a proper roast at The Nelson. Tender rump of beef, crispy roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, seasonal veg, cauliflower cheese and plenty of gravy.

Not in the mood for a roast? This week’s menu also features King Prawn Curry, Beef Burger, Pan Fried Mackerel, Spicy Chicken Burger and Korean Style Sea Bass.

And don’t forget to save room for dessert… Sticky Toffee Pudding, Vanilla Cheesecake, Pecan Pie or Vegan Brownie.
