It's the end of the school year and we are celebrating with our Finca Flatbread evening menu.

The main event of our four course dinner is our in-house, hand-made, organic sourdough. The main course, a Finca Flatbread will start life 40 hours before you arrive as three simple ingredients; flour, water, and salt. To this, we add our sourdough mother starter (born August 2018). We mix, combine, stretch, and fold our sourdough, then re**rd overnight. We'll weigh out your flatbread late afternoon, shape, and re-re**rd until ... you arrive. When you arrive, we'll take out .your flatbread dough, hand-shape, top, and bake in our stone-based pizza oven for 5-7 minutes. And then we'll deliver it to your table ... we can't wait.

For drinks, you'll have a choice of Finca cocktails, beers, ciders, and wine.

Cost is just £20 a head - so please call 01305 300400 to book your table.

We hope the sun will be out, because our deck chairs will be ready.

Up goes the banner on the hoarding of our new shop in Weymouth - we're still building our Weymouth team, and it's an exciting time to be part of our business.

Our main focus has always been to provide the most delicious coffee for our customers. That's why, unlike almost every other independent cafe, we've always roasted our own coffee and never relied on third party roasters. It enables us to source the best specialty coffee which means we have a clear audit from farm to cup. We initially started roasting on a 1kg shop roaster at our first cafe in Great Western Road in 2014. We then purchased a new 10kg roaster and moved to our dedicated roastery at The Grove in 2016.

Today, we're working on the fit out of our fourth cafe in Weymouth, where we'll be bringing specialty single origin (SCAA graded) coffee to this wonderful town.

COFFEE CUPPING NIGHT - SPRING 2019

Come along and find out how we shortlist, cup, and select the coffees we buy and roast. Since 2014, we’ve been selecting the juiciest specialty coffees we can get our hands on. We select many of our coffees through a blind cupping process. It enables us to judge the coffee by taste and aroma alone - removing any bias in the selection process.

At a recent Finca cupping night, the team selected a couple of wonderful East Timor coffees which will arrive at our roastery and be available in all our shops in due course.

We are now inviting customers to come along to a blind cupping night in Poundbury which will take place in Spring. You’ll help us select a couple of new coffees from the Keynan arrivals. We’ll be cupping from samples of the crop, so the exact date will be announced soon, and will depend on when the samples will be available.

We are inviting customers to register their interest now by sending us a message (rather than posting a comment), and we’ll keep your details so that we can contact you nearer the time to see if you are still able to attend.

The cost will be £5 per head but spaces will be limited.
