A Little Update on Our Opening Hours ☕🐢

Over the past few years, as The Purple Turtle has grown, we've gradually expanded our opening times in response to demand. Finding the right balance isn't always easy though, especially when we're so dependent on both the weather and seasonal visitor numbers.

For the time being, we've made the decision to close on Mondays, as well as Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Weekdays on the campsite are still fairly quiet outside of peak holiday periods, and this allows us to focus our resources on the days when most people want to visit.

On the positive side, we're excited to be opening earlier on Saturdays! 🌅
We've had lots of requests from early risers, dog walkers, campers and lake users looking for a morning coffee before the site gets busy, so we'll now be opening from 8am on Saturdays.

Whether you're heading out on the water or simply fancy a peaceful brew overlooking the lake, we'd love to see you.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support us while we find our feet and adapt as the business grows. We'll keep listening to your feedback and adjusting where we can to create the best experience possible for our customers.

☀️ HALF TERM OPENING TIMES ☀️

Good news… the café at Litton Lakes is open EVERY DAY this half term! 🙌

Whether you’re stopping by for coffee, milkshakes, lakeside chilling or a day on the water, we’d love to see you 💜

You don't need a lake pass if you're just using the café however, with the heatwave and it being school holidays, our lake passes have been selling out quickly — so if you’re planning to use the lake or having a picnic, we strongly recommend booking your lake pass online before you travel to avoid disappointment 🌊

A little reminder that we're staying open 'til 4pm today (Monday).

And if you fancy popping by for an after-school treat we're trialling our new kids 'Tiny Turtles' menu... toasties, croffles, ice cream and milkshakes!

We've also got board games, origami, toys and books here to keep your Tiny Turtles occupied if it's chilly or wet outside 😁

🌿 LAKE PASSES EXPLAINED 🌿

We know a few people have been asking how our lake passes work, so we thought we’d make things a little clearer...

Litton Lakes is privately owned and maintained, and the lake pass system helps us care for the space, keep things safe, and avoid overcrowding during busy sunny days ☀️

Whether you’re swimming, paddleboarding, picnicking or just spending the day by the water, a lake pass is required.

But if you’re just popping in for coffee, cake, breakfast or milkshakes at the café — you do not need a lake pass ☕🍰

And if you’re simply walking through, hiking or dog walking, you’re also welcome without one 🐾

We’ve tried to keep pricing as simple and affordable as possible, including family/group passes for up to 4 people 💛
