Next month we are bringing you a weekend full of variety.
On Saturday 4th July we are hosting another talk by Dr Dafydd Gwyn about the quarries in Cwm Ystradllyn and Cwm Pennant. This year we are doing things slightly differently......entry is free but we are asking you to book in advance so that we can spread the numbers out over two sessions - either 11.00 am or 2.00pm. The talk will be given in Welsh but there will be in-ear translations for those who require it.....this can be requested when you book.
There will also be slate splitting demonstrations and slate related books for sale. Plus, the talented Meic Watts will be here with his beautifully carved slates. Treat yourself to a piece of his beautiful work.
In the evening we have Pete and John (half of All Strung Up) entertaining us in the marquee for one final time. Entry is £5....booking not required, just turn up....7.00pm start.
The following day, Sunday 5th July, the birds of prey are returning....they will be here from 11.00am until 3.00pm. Come along and meet some feathered friends.

Do you remember the photo I posted recently of trainspotter Francis Bourgeois when he visited us?
Well here is the video he uploaded of his day out.....you can watch the whole thing, which is great, or fast forward to 12.55 where he visits us and gives us a great plug. Last time I looked it had had over 86k views on Facebook.....TikTok he has an even bigger following. Thanks Francis..... 😊

After yesterdays pleasant surprise visitor I wonder what, or who, today will bring.
Would it be too much to wish for Anthony Hopkins taking a break from his filming in the area to pop in for a cream tea? 😃
Whoever we see, will be more than welcome....why not come and say hi and enjoy the views. At least we can see them again now 😂
And for those who have been asking....the cuckoo is back 🙃
