🚨 IMPORTANT COMMUNITY UPDATE 🚨

Our defibrillator box at The Kings Head, Docklow now also contains a bleed control kit.

This is another potentially life-saving piece of equipment that can be used in an emergency where someone has suffered a serious bleed.

Living in a rural farming community, we know accidents can happen — particularly involving machinery, tools, livestock and agricultural work — and in situations like these, having the right equipment close by while waiting for the emergency services could make a huge difference.

We sincerely hope it never needs to be used, but we’re very proud to have both a defibrillator and bleed kit available for our local community. ❤️

We’re incredibly proud to announce that we’ve won CAMRA Pub of the Season – Autumn 2026! 🏆🍺

To even be considered for an award like this means a huge amount to us, so to actually win it is something we’re genuinely proud of.

A massive CHEERS to our whole team who work so hard to make The Kings Head what it is — we couldn’t do it without you. ❤️

And of course, a huge thank you to all of you who drink, eat, visit, recommend us and continue to support your local pub. Your support means everything.

🔥 SMASH & SMOKE WEEKEND UPDATE! 🔥

Our platters are selling FAST!

Because everything is smoked fresh and can take up to 14 HOURS to cook, we’ll now be asking for a £20 deposit when pre-booking a platter. This will of course come off your bill!

We’ve had a few last-minute cancellations recently, and we’d hate to sell out, turn people away, and then be left with a platter going spare.

A huge amount of work goes into making everything from scratch so you get the best Smash & Smoke experience possible.

🌶️ NEW THIS WEEK — SMOKED PIRI PIRI SAUSAGES!

Homemade by Ashley using our own brisket & pork belly sausage mix, seasoned with Piri Piri and smoked over oak for a proper smoky, spicy kick.

🍔 BRISKET BURGER also available while stocks last!
