Today's focuses on delightful Dittisham, as part of our 'One River Eight Destinations' campaign series.

Renowned for its crabbing family fun, pretty village atmosphere and delicious food and drink options, Dittisham is a 30-minute potter up river from Dartmouth, with the opportunity to have wildlife encounters with seals en route!

It is reported that Sir Walter Raleigh liked to sit atop the Anchorstone, the rock in the river just south of Dittisham, to smoke his pipe!

If you're looking to visit Dittisham by yacht, 18 visitor buoys (white and marked with vessel size) are available off the village. There are also anchorages at Parson's Mud, to the south of Anchorstone or off Gurrow Point.

Dinghies can land at Dittisham Pontoon.

Take a trip up to Dittisham - you won't be disappointed!

Visitor moorings can be booked in advance on our website https://www.dartharbour.org/visitors/
