It is with great sadness and immense fondness we remember Gerry Gallagher - a true legend of Laurence’s Bar.

Little did he know when first coming to the Clooney Bar in the early 80’s as a proud Creggan man, how he would go on to become part of the furniture in this Waterside local.

A stalwart in the bar he took on many roles over the years from debate master to bird catcher, homework advisor to peace keeper but most importantly a loyal friend with a warm welcome for every person coming through the door.

He will be greatly missed but never be forgotten by his Laurence’s family - young and old, each one having their own special memory of him.

Now in his own words:

Gooo Homeeeeee!
