Fresh beers at The Old Bell!
It's about time for an update, and it's definitely worth the wait.
On cask this week, Bass is joined by Thornbridge’s GF IPA AM:PM (4.5%), the smooth pale Bundorat (4.8%) from and , and the indulgent stout Take A Cookie (5%) from .

Coming next: Trip Hop #9 (4%), a pale with Citra and Mosaic hops; Thornbridge’s Worker Bee blonde bitter (4.6%); and Ossett’s Fat Rat Coconut & Coffee Stout (5%).

On the guest keg lines: Dizzy Rat XPA (4.8%) and Afterimage (6.3%), a hazy IPA from New Invention.

What an amazing start to the Derby Folk Festival!
Both Donovylan and 5 Hills Out were fantastic in the Ballroom, and really showed why the folk festival is such a wonderful weekend.
We were also treated to a spontaneous session in the Tudor Bar, with Doug Eunson and Sarah Matthews Duo and co playing all night right up until close! An atmosphere really like no other.
There's plenty to get involved with today too - we have Belper Folk Club enjoying a good singalong in the Tudor Bar right now! Throughout the the afternoon and into the evening we have range of fantastic ticketed shows. Not to be missed!

The first fire of the season...

Derby Folk Festival always brings fantastic live music to The Old Bell - and the return of the fire to the Tudor Bar!
With ale back on the Tudor Bar handpump and colder days drawing in, our favourite time of year is here.
Grab a pint, settle by the fire and enjoy the music in one of the most atmospheric rooms in the city.

Oktoberfest at The Old Bell!
Last weekend we had our very own Oktoberfest takeover, with a fantastic range of German beers and food!
The Ballroom got a Bavarian makeover, and steins were filling over all three bars.
The ceremonial barrel was tapped, and everyone's strength was put to the test with our stein holding competition.
The staff had a fantastic time organising this event, and we're glad you all enjoyed it too! On to next year! Prost!
