We’ve decided the pub could do with a bit of a polish. The staff could probably do with one too 👀

We will be closed from 21st–31st August whilst we give the place a little freshen-up and enjoy a short break ✨

We’ll be back as normal on 1st September for Quiz Night looking a bit fresher, serving fantastic pints and pretending we didn’t enjoy the peace and quiet 🤫

Today we commemorate and pay our respects to all those who have served, and those who continue to serve, in our Armed Forces.

To mark the occasion, we’ve been serving Victory Ale from RBAbrewery over the last few days - a fitting beer for today’s celebrations.

Some of you may of seen a post this morning from Cllr Steve Hassall regarding a planning application submitted for a micropub in the Allestree area.

We are pleased and excited to announce it is us who have submitted this planning application

We are hoping to expand our family business and bring something new and exciting to Allestree and the surrounding area.

Everyone who has visited ourselves or The Hoptimist - Draycott will know what we are about and what we could potentially bring to the area

Finally just to be clear, nothing will change at either of our pubs, in Draycott and Spondon ❤️
