Before it became the Red Lion, this building in the Market Place was a private farmhouse. It began its transition into an inn during the 19th century, although the Red Lion name in Deddington goes back to an earlier inn in the Horse Fair area. These days, dogs are welcome through the front door, fish and chips leave through the takeaway counter, and the garden is waiting out back (when the weather allows) ❤️

We know fish and chips can’t fix everything magically, but it can help. And it's not only about that, sometimes it's about getting out of the house, sitting somewhere familiar and having a proper conversation over the fish and chips.
