We have a vacancy for a Mobile Cook/Catering Supervisor
Do you have previous experience of working in a supervisory capacity within a busy catering environment?
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Mobile Cook/Catering Supervisor to join our team. In this role you will be working Monday-Friday, 5 hours per day, term time only + mileage paid.
You must hold a full clean driving license and have use of your own car.
As part a key part of our mobile team, you will be covering any absences in our kitchens. When fully staffed, you will be required to assist the Chief Executive Officer with internal audits in any of our 40 schools, school ‘tasters’ for new parents/classes when required, menu planning and other office tasks.
Responsibilities
Prepare, cook and present food to high standards
Ensure that the working environment is clean, tidy and safe
Effectively supervise a team.
Be responsible for all aspects general food preparation, serving the pupils, washing up, cleaning duties, ordering food and the manual handling of tables and chairs. Other duties as deemed reasonable.
Skills and Experience
Friendly and helpful disposition.
Experience as a cook with a passion for food
Supervisory experience in a similar role and ability to work effectively within a team.
Level 2 Food Hygiene Qualification.
Level 2 Allergy Awareness Qualification.
A high level of personal cleanliness.
Willingness to undertake training.
Physically able to arrange dining room facilities when required.
Education and Knowledge
Minimum Level 2 - Food Hygiene certificate.
Minimum Level 2 – Allergy Awareness certificate.
Basic numeracy.
Basic literacy.
Knowledge of hygiene regulations, management of health & safety and nutritional food standards (desirable)
