I know, I know.. we haven't even had Halloween yet and here I am announcing our first Christmas event 🎄

But this event is a VERY special one!

Santa is coming to The Storybook for some private, festive 5-minute appointments with your little ones! 🎅

Your little ones can meet Santa, tell him their Christmas wishes, and ask Santa any questions they have! (We know our little ones have lots of curious questions to ask Santa, so this is their chance to do just that 🤭).

Every child will leave with a present from Santa, and ALL proceeds will be going to the charity MIND 🎁

We will not be operating as a play cafe for this day. Instead, we will be operating as a regular cafe serving all things yummy.. including mulled w**e for the adults 😉

We are encouraging families booked on to arrive 10 or 15 minutes early to their time slot with Santa, where children can draw a picture for Santa or write a letter, which they can then give to him when they enter his grotto! ❄️

This event is to be coincided with the Daventry Christmas Market which is 10-3, so you can make a whole day of it!

Santa will be with us from 11am-1pm (potentially later if all slots are sold).

To book, please come to the cafe from Monday 11th October where you can choose your time slot and pay 🫶🏼

£16 per child, £5 per sibling (sharing the same 5 minute time slot).

Time slots are limited so we recommend popping to the cafe as early as you can to book your preferred time! 🎄🤶🎅

October 🎃 👻 🧙‍♂️ 🪄

Spooky season is upon us, and boy, do we have some fun things planned!

We are bringing our popular Animal Encounter back for a THIRD time, after 2 previous sell-out events! We only have 2 spaces left for this event (at time of writing).

We are then swiftly moving into pure spooky vibes by kicking off the Halloween Events with our Adult Halloween Pottery Painting, followed by a Halloween Party for the little ones, Halloween Cookie Decorating, Halloween breakfast and pumpkin crafting and of course, our trick or treat trail throughout the half term play sessions!

The Halloween decs have arrived but we are waiting to put these out due to birthday parties, so be rest assured that we will be completely Halloweenified come the 24th October (I am genuinely struggling to contain my excitement) 🎃

All events available to book through our bio/booking page ✨️

Play Anytime Sessions 🌟

The two trial days went down so well that we're trying it all week next week!

Monday to Sunday (5th Oct to 11th Oct) next week, come as you please and spend up to 2 hours in the play cafe.

You can choose to pre-book still on our booking page if you have an idea of what time you'd like to come along. Just pop your estimated arrival time in the other information section of your booking and we will hold your table for up to 20 minutes.

Of course, there's no need to book and you're welcome to just turn up when it suits you!

Please note that Tuesdays and Wednesdays last entry will be 12pm due to us closing earlier those days.

This week we already have bookings in place, so we will be keeping our set session times for those booked on, but if we have the space then each day we will pop a post on our stories if we have room for Anytime Play walk ins!

Our Play Anytime Week will be our normal price next week and we will see how it runs for the whole 7 days! 🤗

Thanks for all the positive feedback so far. I'm excited to see how it goes for a full week!

Update on our Play Anytime day today!

In short, it was amazing! 💓

Our busiest day this week, lots of people coming and leaving as they wished, always a table free for seating... it just worked so, so well!

Thank you to everyone that came along today, we couldn't have done this trial day without you 🫶🏼

If you came along today, please drop me a message or leave a comment to let me know whether it's something you'd like to see again. Did it work better for you? Was there anything you'd change? I want to know! 🤪

Also, should we do this style of play on Sunday?! 👀

Thank you all again for a truly brilliant day ✨️💫

SOMETHING NEW! 💫

Tomorrow, Friday 25th September we are trialing something new!!

We will be open 9.30-4.30 for you tomorrow for you to come along at ANY TIME for up to 2 hours of play! (Last entry 3pm).

We know, it's crazy, we're crazy, but it just might work.. 🤪

As this is a trial to see how it goes, children and babies (over 3 months) can play for up to 2 hours for just £5. Adult pricing remains the same at £2.90 to secure your seat in the cafe for the remainder of your time with us.

Myself and Kayleigh will tidy up the play areas throughout the day and we will do our best to keep the play areas in a playable condition, but we do politely ask that if your little one has finished playing with something, that you just pop it back where it belongs before moving onto the next toy or area. This will help to keep play areas safe and hazard free for everyone to enjoy.

I honestly don't know how this will go, but I'm excited to try it and give it a go!

No pre-bookings. Simply turn up, pay to play, stay for up to 2 hours and leave any time you wish during that time!

See you tomorrow! 🧚‍♀️💫

Welcome to our first episode of Positivi-TEA Mondays! ✨️

I dont know about everyone else, but I always find Mondays exceptionally difficult. It's the rushing around in the morning to get my little one to school, getting myself to the cafe in time to open up and then not knowing what the week ahead will bring! Most Monday's I am fuelled by pure anxiety 🙃

Whether you're a small business owner, employed, a stay at home parent or in your own in-between stage right now.. every week comes with its own stresses, and I'm so done with going down the rabbit hole on a Monday of trying to navigate the week ahead before I've even got there! 😅

So every Monday, I'll be posting up a new Positivi-TEA question to help re-wire ours, or someone else's brain, to spin a positive take on Mondays and for the week ahead!

I'd love for you to join in down in the comments if you can! 💕

Tonight's question: What's one act of genuine kindness that has happened to you or that you've witnessed that you'll never forget? If it's an act of kindness from someone you know, tag them so that they can get a dose of Monday Positivi-TEA to make them smile!
