The painters have been making excellent progress on the King's new livery, and we're delighted to share this latest update from the works.

After much discussion, consideration and several strong opinions from across the team, a final colour scheme has now been applied and is really starting to bring the locomotive to life.

We know many of you have been eagerly awaiting a first look, so here it is...

We're delighted to share that our Executive Chef, Nick Allen, has become a member of Master Chefs of Great Britain.

Founded in 1980, Master Chefs of Great Britain is one of the UK's most respected culinary associations, bringing together skilled chefs from across the hospitality industry. The organisation promotes excellence in professional cookery and supports chefs at every stage of their careers.

Speaking about his membership, Nick said:

"For me, it's great to be part of a nationally recognised organisation which supports professional chefs, whether they're new to the industry or, like me, have been around for quite a while – 24 years in kitchens!"

150 years on from the birth of Sir Nigel Gresley, his legacy still lives and breathes on the railway.

Today, Bittern proudly carries the "Gresley 150 Anniversary" headboard in honour of the man whose vision gave us some of the most elegant and recognisable steam locomotives ever built.

As part of the Gresley 150 celebrations, fellow A4 Pacific *Sir Nigel Gresley* is also in steam this weekend at Doncaster, giving enthusiasts a rare opportunity to see another of Gresley's iconic designs in action during this special anniversary year.

More than eight decades after Gresley's passing, his locomotives continue to inspire railway enthusiasts around the world. Seeing Bittern wear this commemorative headboard is a reminder that great engineering never goes out of style.

A fitting tribute to one of the greatest locomotive engineers Britain has ever known.

Introducing The Chairman’s Train – Britain’s most private luxury rail experience.

Unveiled at London Euston earlier this week, it’s the UK’s first fully private heritage train available for exclusive hire. Pulled by classic steam, electric and diesel locomotives, it offers a unique way to travel in comfort and style.

The first journeys begin this July with a five-day West Highland Experience, followed by another departure in August.

From 2027, The Chairman’s Train will also offer fully bespoke private charters across the UK.
