or over-night accommodation there are five converted farm buildings that provide a peaceful and charming place to stay and The Studio Suite located above the pub with its own private entrance. All of the bedrooms open onto their own private terrace. There is also a self-catering cottage that sleeps up to six just a two minute walk from the pub. The Durham Ox is the ideal country get away, with easy access to York and up on to the Moors and Coast. Great covered outside space with wood-burning stove as well as other outside areas. Renowned for it's food, some of the classics include: Cheesy scallops, Lobster platters, The Ox Seafood Platter; Steak Frites, Sticky Toffee Pudding, Whole grilled turbot, Chateaubriand for two to share; and of course a great Sunday lunch with Yorkshire puddings and all the trimmings....and so much more.
