What an amazing summer we are having and it looks to continue this week. We had sellout days last week at The Dog and Bacon and also at The Missing Link thank you. We try our hardest to serve you the best quality food we can and most of the time we get it right. One customer messaged me today with a small problem but that’s the kind of customers we love the ones that message me privately and we are able to sort the problem out. It’s when some customers leave a rubbish review and don’t give us the chance to respond remember we are all human and don’t get everything right. Everyone has asked why we don’t use The Burger Truck boxes anymore and the answer is purely all the breweries we work at have tried to reduce there rubbish and by us using the trays and greaseproof sheets we have achieved this. This week we will still have the truffle shuffle and our amazing chicken tenders with the choice of 2 coatings. Now the nights are drawing in we will move the airstream to the taproom. If you book a table we will deliver your food if you would like to eat on the field you can. The field shuts at sunset. We look forward to seeing you all again at the above locations. This weeks schedule is packed out with the best possible burger loving you could ever need. The week starts on Tuesday at The Rose and Crown, Cuckfield 5 till 8:30, Wednesday Brolly Brewing we will be releasing our new chicken thigh tenders coated in garlic honey sriracha sauce with buttermilk ranch dressing. Thursday back to Brolly Brewing 4:30 till 8:30, Friday Crawley opens its doors 4:00 till 8:30 we are also at The Dog and Bacon, Horsham 5 till 21:00. Saturday and Sunday All things funghi returns to The Missing Link we will be serving the truffle shuffle then the finale Tilgate celebrates its 60th birthday they have a free music l festival 12 till 19:00 please join us.

Another great week — we’ve upped the quantity of patties and people just keep eating them up.

Had a great chat with a customer at Missing Link about what we’re actually trying to do here. Loads of places sell good burgers. That’s not the point. We want people to remember the experience — how we made them feel — not just the food. Explaining where the produce comes from, taking the time with the menu, making the customer feel like they matter and are special because to us if you chose us we want to give you that special treatment back.

Packed house at Missing Link this weekend — thank you. But this one’s for the team. The effort they put in every single service is next level, and they keep producing quality food under real pressure. Yes, customers sometimes wait. If they don’t get it now, they never will: we’re not going to throw out weaker burgers just because someone’s been queuing a bit. A short wait for a good product is a good sign — it means it’s in demand, and it means what lands in your hands is going to be worth it. Weather’s holding up this week so let’s make the most of it while we can.

We dropped the El Gaucho this weekend and the response was overwhelming, so it’s staying on for another week: smashed aged beef, melted Monterey Jack, homemade chimichurri, caramelised onions, miso mayo, all in a buttered toasted brioche bun. The Blue will also stay for a while.

Tuesday we’re at The Rose & Crown in Cuckfield, then two nights running at Brolly Brewing Wednesday and Thursday. Crawley’s up Friday and Saturday on Manor Royal, and Friday evening some of the team will also be at Borde Hill Garden for the ABBA night — ticket only, so get sorted in advance if you want in. Weekend’s with Missing Link Brewing too, Saturday and Sunday both, with Saturday running the long day, 12 through to 8.

Bank holiday delivered again. Saturday was a bit wet but that didn’t stop people coming down to the tap rooms for b**r and burgers.

Thank you to everyone who came out and ate with us this weekend — feedback was brilliant. But this post’s really for the venues that host us, because The Burger Truck wouldn’t be what it is without them. Becky and Jeremy at Missing Link Brewing, Brook, Holly and Ben at Brolly Brewing, and Helen at Lakedown — the effort you guys put into your tap rooms is amazing. It’s a proper partnership: we want to be busy, you want to be busy, and every single one of these tap rooms was buzzing this weekend. Thank you.

We met a customer who had never had a smashed burger before. He was amazed at how moist it was, and explained that when he looked at it, he thought it was going to be dry.
