COVID-19 Official update
Dear Customers & friends
The news that we are hearing on a hourly and daily basis has been devastating, deeply tragic for all of those who have been directly touched and devastating for every one of us who are now being affected by the consequences.
We in the hospitality industry have been left in an unenviable position. While the government has advised people ‘to avoid large gatherings and gathering in smaller public spaces’, we have been asked to close and cease trading.
These are uncertain times and every business must make the right decision for itself. No judgement. My position is this: I believe that hospitality, in good times and not so good, is the lifeblood of our communities and it is our role to safely provide pleasure and enjoyment as well as solace and sustenance in times of need.
Therefore, until otherwise advised (and I am very aware that the situation is changing by the hour and minute), Toros Steakhouse Coventry continues to be open and ready to welcome you. I want to reassure you that we are absolutely taking every precaution possible to protect you, our valued guests, as well as our equally valued staff and employees. We are continuously adhering to the strictest and most thorough cleaning regime in all areas of both back-of-house and front-of-house. We are furthermore monitoring the health of all employees. Those who are the slightest unwell are not coming in to work. We are also offering flexibility with cancellations and asking anyone who is not well please not to visit us at this time.
We having to close our dining areas and unable to serve you within the restaurant.
Collection click and collect service is available.
Takeaway service is available as usual (although some items may not be available due to shortage of supplies). Please order online or over the phone and pay in advance to reduce contact.
We are offering contactless delivery through our delivery partners Deliveroo.
This crisis will pass. In the meantime, it is essential that we don’t allow it to destroy the fabulous hospitality structure that we have throughout our country. Hospitality in all its many and varied forms contributes an immense amount to the well-being of the nation. At Toros we not only employ a team of people but we also support an enormous network of local businesses, suppliers, farms and food producers, fishermen and many more. It is my responsibility to think of all of them, too.
Of course, it is vitally important that we are all sensible, follow government guidance as it applies to each of us, and do all we can to stay safe and stay well. Looking ahead, once this is all over - and it will be over - I hope that we will all come together as a nation to celebrate and support great British hospitality in all its wonderful variety.
I look forward to seeing you, whether sooner or later.
Stay safe, stay well.
