🩵🩷 Happy 21st Birthday Hollie! 🩷🩵

Today we’re celebrating a very special young lady — Hollie turning 21 🎉💛

Hollie has grown up with Ball Hill Diner as part of her life, watching her mum Rhian give 27 years of hard work, dedication, and love to this place ❤️

And just like her mum, Hollie has always been there when it mattered — stepping up on our final day to help serve the community, showing the same kindness, support, and willingness to help that she’s always had 🩵

She truly is the sweetest soul — always smiling, always helpful, and always there when we’ve needed a hand 💛

We’re so grateful for you, Hollie, and everything you’ve done for the diner over the years 🩷

💔 The Beautiful Loren - Never Forgotten 💔

As we reflect on the people who made Ball Hill Diner so special, we can’t forget Loren 🩷

Loren was a huge part of our story — not just a familiar face, but family. Rhian’s niece, a former member of staff, and a loyal customer, she had been part of the diner for years, from working here when she was younger to always being around Ball Hill and popping in to see us 💔

She was the sweetest young girl, always bringing warmth, kindness, and a smile with her. Whether behind the counter or just stopping by, Loren was someone everyone knew and loved 🩷

Tragically, Loren passed away just three months ago in January 2026 at the age of 26. Her loss is deeply felt, and her absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled 💔

Now that the diner has closed, it feels even more important to honour those who meant so much to it — and Loren will always be one of them ❤️

She is missed every single day and will never be forgotten 🩷

This photo takes us back to before the refurb — our old red café and one of our most loyal customers, Tony ❤️

Tony isn’t just a customer, he is part of the Ball Hill family. A neighbour, a friendly face, and someone who had been coming through our doors for as long as we can remember 🩵

If the diner was open, you could count on Tony being there — every single day, right until the very end 🩷 Always ready for a chat, especially when it came to football with Tina ⚽💬

It’s people like Tony who made Ball Hill Diner what it was — not just a place to eat, but a place full of community, connection, and familiar faces ❤️

🩵🩷 A Special Tribute – Paul 🩷🩵

We couldn’t reflect on the story of Ball Hill Diner without honouring Paul 💛

Paul has been a huge part of this place over the years — the talented tradesman behind the iconic red café and those beautiful wooden panels that gave the diner its much-loved rustic feel ❤️

Single-handedly, he brought Derek’s vision to life, carefully placing each panel and helping create the character and warmth that so many people remember and loved 🩵

But Paul is so much more than that…
He’s one of the sweetest, kindest and most genuine people you could ever meet 💛

He’s supported the diner in every way — as a customer, a friend, a tradesman, and as family. As our manager, Rhian’s dad, his connection to this place runs deep, with so many of his family also being part of the diner over the years, including his wife, daughter Paula, and granddaughter Loren who are sadly no longer with us ❤️

And he was a regular until the end and will always be part of the heart of Ball Hill Diner 🩷🩵

Paul, thank you for your loyalty, your craftsmanship, your kindness, and everything you’ve given to this place over the years 💛

You’ve helped shape Ball Hill Diner into what it became — and that will never be forgotten ❤️
