After a truly awesome weekend (if you were there you'll know what a great afternoon we all had on Sunday) we look forward to our final two live music acts of June and they are both fantastic artists.
Saturday evening from 7pm we welcome back Dave Red who was superb on his debut visit and definitely not to be missed.
Sunday we welcome The Missing Cats Duo for their first appearance at Together Lounge. I've heard some amazing things about these guys, get yourselves along for a brilliant foot tapping afternoon.

Today marks two special occasions.
Father's Day — a day to celebrate the dads, grandads, stepdads, mentors, role models and father figures who have helped shape our lives.
And the Summer Solstice — the longest day of the year, when the sun reaches its highest point and gives us its greatest gift of light.
So I'm dedicating this post to the memory of the man who shaped the family that today run Together Lounge, I know he would have been it's biggest fan 🥰
Perhaps it's fitting that these two occasions meet on the same day.
Because the best fathers and father figures do the same. They provide warmth when life feels cold. Guidance when the path ahead is uncertain. Strength when we need support. And often, they do it quietly, without asking for recognition.
Today we celebrate all those who have chosen to care, support, encourage and stand beside others through life's journey.
So here's to the dads who taught us, the grandads who spoiled us, the father figures who stepped up when needed, and the memories of those who are no longer with us but whose light and warmth still shines brightly.
May your day be filled with love, laughter and good company.
Happy Father's Day, and Happy Summer Solstice.

The Sunday we have a brilliant afternoon with Live Human Jukebox - Neil Gibstar Gibson bringing us his amazing loop pedal show from 4pm, and as it's also Father's Day bring dad along and treat him to drink on us. The whole family is welcome.

Sunday 5th July 4pm we welcome back the rather awesome AJ Potter plus a very special guest.
It was a packed house last time and a truly great evening. You don't want to miss it. Get it in the diary.

I popped into the Together Lounge last week for a coffee and catchup with Grandalf, and came out with a gig.

Then the amazing songwriter Nicola Madill messaged as she's down this way from Scotland gigging, so we've decided to double up on this one! Honestly can't wait.

Nicola is absolutely fantastic we're lucky as to have her playing in Consett! Here is Nicola's bio:

📚Quiet Reading Club next Wednesday, 24th June. 📚
I had every plan to read more books this month than I've ever read but I've dropped off a bit in the last week and am only a little way through my third book this month, so no bragging rights for me 😅 but no matter any reading is better than no reading and it's so good for brain heath.
Anyhow, whether you're an avid reader or just want to get back into regular reading, our Quiet Reading Club is an excellent way to spend an hour of calm getting lost in a good book.
No booking required, no assigned book and no requirement to discuss your book, just come along with whatever you are currently reading and join us for an hour of quiet reading.
There's also cake and coffee available or treat yourself to a glass of wine 😍

The story of a cocktail
If you were following our weekend posts you'll have seen people talking about the cocktail that was the star of the day.

This is the story of that cocktail.....
Ethan had been playing around with new ideas and new cocktails for our menu and during our Sunday session he came up with the most delicious cocktail, at that point it was unnamed however during the afternoon (and many, many orders for the drink) we got handed a piece of paper with the name written on it.
This name was thought up by our customers and inspired by our afternoon singer Laura Ray, Ethan decided it was the perfect name and what a wonderful story to go with it, a perfect spontaneous moment involving staff, artist and customers. moments like that are always so special and deserve a place in the history of Together Lounge.

And so I give to you the 'Ray of Sunshine' ☀️🍹it's fruity, tropical and very delicious
It'll be going live on our cocktail menu this Saturday evening. To everyone involved Thank you.
