A Little Appreciation Post for Our Amazing Mr Clart About AKA Mark.

If you've popped into the Sensory Café recently, you'll probably have been greeted by this smiling face – the one we're lucky enough to call husband and daddy. ❤️

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to Mark/Daddy, who has been single-handedly keeping the café running. From making drinks and serving customers to bookkeeping, tidying and everything in between, he's been doing it all – and somehow still manages to greet everyone with a smile.

As many of you know, Clart About Sensory Cafe is a not-for-profit organisation, and every penny we raise goes straight back into supporting the families and children who access our services.

This time last year, Lynn was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, we've had to close the organisation on numerous occasions for appointments, surgery and treatment, and keeping everything going has been a challenge.

Now we've been dealt another devastating blow, with Lynn recently being diagnosed with a second primary cancer in her thyroid.

As we begin another chapter of this journey, there will be more appointments, surgery and treatment, meaning more unavoidable closures.

We're determined to keep Clart About Sensory Cafe going, but we need your support.

Every visit to the café, every donation and every share of our fundraiser makes a real difference and helps us continue supporting the families who rely on us.

Most of all, we'd love you to show Mark some love. He's stepped up in ways we could never have imagined, carrying the café while supporting our family through one of the hardest times of our lives. We couldn't be more proud.

Clart About Award Winning Sensory Cafe is one of a kind offering a safe, stimulating, and tranquil environment designed to be inclusive of ALL children from birth.

Using fantastic state of the art technology, our sensory room allows our users to access THE VERY BEST in sensory experiences.

Upon opening in March 2018, we chose to use sustainable, timeless wooden resources and toys that not only allow children to learn through play but are also kinder to our environment, too!

Sensory environments are hugely beneficial from birth through to 100 years old! Promoting both physical and mental well-being to all.

Our interactive floor projects themed interactive images, games, and educational activities ideal for those standing, crawling, or in a wheelchair.

Babies are amazed by our sensory room with bubble tubes, fibre optics, colour column, music touch wall, disco tile and infinity panels, even the adults go home feeling relaxed from our calming and soothing environment!

Our NEW additions for 2025 include our BRAND NEW Sensory area with colour column, infinity panels, and our 'fish tank'

Our dedicated baby area is a tactile and curious way for babies to learn about the world around them, offering a heuristic approach to play using sustainable wooden and sensory resources throughout.

Our beautiful wooden caravan and home corner offers role play opportunities that help aid all aspects of little ones' development where their imaginations can flow!

Our Sensory Soft Play allows your little ones to explore safely within the padded area, too! Great for gross motor skills!

Our sensory cafe has been designed open plan with your little ones' safety in mind, including our sensory room, which is included in your entrance fee.

FREE onsite car parking, too! Easily accessible NO stairs.

Limited numbers to offer a relaxing, inclusive environment for all who visit us.

We open two Saturdays per month, which can be booked via special events/Saturdays on the website.

We've had so many people asking after seeing other venues advertising their Santa events...

Our magical Santa Ste Sessions are now LIVE on our website and ready to book!

🎅 Ho-Ho-Ho… Come and join us for a calming, relaxing and stimulating festive experience in our multi-sensory café as we celebrate Christmas with a special visit from Santa Claus!

Unlike a traditional Santa's Grotto, we don't have a separate grotto experience. Santa joins us in our café, creating a relaxed, familiar environment that helps make the experience less overwhelming for children who may feel anxious, worried or unsure about meeting Santa in a new setting. It's all about making Christmas magical in a way that feels comfortable and enjoyable for every child.

Each little one will enjoy:
🎄 90 minutes of sensory play
🎅 A special visit from Santa and singing with Santa Ste.
🎁 A gift from Santa included in the ticket price
