We are supporting Weston College Students’ Pre-Loved Sale of Clothes & Accessories fundraising for Weston Hospice in the courtyard.

Please note the Café will open at 10am. From 1 till 3pm we will be serving cream teas only.

Following an approach from Churchill School we have taken on Ryan, a 14 year old student on a work experience trial. This is a first for us and we welcome the opportunity to help a young person develop.

Latest fundraising

The community café has been busy over the last few months and thanks to our 43 volunteers, customers and the support of Debbie Fortune Estate Agents we have made the following donations:
• St Andrews School - £1,350 towards the transport costs for this year’s Year 6 camp
• Congresbury Community Preschool - £250 for sand to refill their sandpits
• Congresbury Football Club - £400 matched funding for repairs.

If during the year you have surplus vegetables which might go to waste if not used, please consider donating these to the café so they are available for others.

We have 2 Pine tables we have used in the café, but replaced them with a couple of smaller ones. Previously they had been used in a cafe in Kingston Seymour which closed down.

They are both rectangle :
1. 1m long, 85cm wide and 76cm tall, top 2cm thick.
2. 1.1m long 81cm wide and 75cm tall, top 2cm thick

No. 1 comes with the bolts and half- moon nuts and screws to attach legs to table top.

No. 2 - Unfortunately we have misplaced the screws, it requires normal wood screws and one of the struts that go in between the legs is broken but could be repaired or replaced.

It would be nice to get a donation for both of these, however small. Email Ian at [email protected] if you are interested.

Want to know more about YACWAG. They will be in the Cafe from 10.30 to 12 on this coming Saturday - 16th, following on from Tessa Munt MP's surgery which runs from 9.30 to 10.30. No appointment necessary its first come first served.

Join our Neighbourhood Policing team at the Community Cafe on Thursday 5 March from 10 to 11 to discuss any issues or concerns you have.

Drop in and speak to your local officers from the Yeo Vale Neighbourhood Policing team.

Whether you want advice on how to protect your belongings, more information about the work we are doing in your area, or you want to raise a concern about an issue in your community, officers from your Neighbourhood Policing team will be on-hand to help.

As some of you know in late 2024, I had open heart surgery in the Bristol Heart Institute.

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives.

Thanks to support from people like us the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures.
