No chippy tea tonight as the guys from Green Island are away on holiday. If you’re after food then you’re welcome to order in from anywhere in town and get it delivered to the pub.

Our next food event is Friday street food where the brilliant Smoke Meat & Fire will be here from 5:30-9pm serving some incredible burgers. Menu attached if you want to see what they’ve got

Here’s what’s on this weekend if you’re out for a few b**rs

Friday street food this week is the awesome Smoke Meat & Fire , they’re here from 5:30-9pm. Check out the videos of their burger trays on their page, they’re incredible!

Saturday - Live Music this week from “Dave’s Like These” who will be playing on the bar level at 8pm. We’ve always enjoyed these guys so are delighted to have them back with us

Sunday - Cheese night returns! Drop off a block of your favourite cheese between 5-6pm and we will swap you for a glass of port. We will then take your cheese away and prepare it. Then at 6:30 we serve up all the cheeses with some nibbles to go with it. At 7pm we vote on our favourite cheese and its owner wins a FREE drink on us

You can expect a great range of songs and a feel good atmosphere when these guys play. They’ll be covering a whole host of songs that are bound to get you singing and dancing along

Crescent Catering are here from 6 - 9 pm serving freshly made pizzas and doughballs.

You can get ANY Beartown Cask Ale, ANY small w**e or pint of Beartown l***r as part of the deal

If you’re not drinking, then you can get a pint of Pepsi or lemonade and the deal is only £9

Please note this is the last week that we will be doing Tap Tuesday on a weekly basis. From October onwards pizzas will be fortnightly so Crescent Catering will be here every other week.

Lots of great events going on this week at The Tap and a bit of a change to our usual routine as the chippy is closed this week so there is ❌NO CHIPPY TEA on Thursday ❌

Tuesday - pizza and a pint is back as Crescent Catering return to bring you freshly made pizzas and doughballs from 6-9pm

Wednesday - Quiz night is on at 8pm and the jackpot is now over £200! There’s also money to be won when we play card bingo and as ever there are prizes for 1st 2nd and 3rd placed teams. Send us a message if you want to enter a team and we can save you some seats

Thursday - no chippy tea this week, you’re welcome to order in if you’re joining us for drinks

Friday - Street food this week comes from the legends that are Smoke Meat & Fire who are back with us serving some incredible burgers , just check out that menu

Saturday - Live Music this week is the superb .like.these who play at 8pm. We always love their choice of songs and they create a great atmosphere whenever they play - it’s free entry too

Sunday - Cheese Night is back. You know the deal, bring a block of cheese and we will swap you for a glass of port (5-6pm), then at 6:30 we will bring out all the cheeses for you to try along with some nibbles to go with it. You vote for your favourite and then at 7pm we will announce the most popular - winner gets a FREE drink on us

We have had a huge delivery of German l***rs and we currently have the amazing Paulaner (6.0%) Oktoberfest bier on tap. It might just be the best pint of l***r we’ve ever tasted.

2 of our favourite b**rs back on the taps

Skinful (4.2%) is a great malty bitter with notes of copper and toffee. It may be one of the brewery’s oldest b**rs but it’s still a firm favourite at The Tap

HPA (4.0%) is a clean tasting pale from Wye Valley , you can expect citrus notes with a clean and bitter finish

Both of these are hugely popular, bring a mate, grab a b**r and put the world to rights this weekend
