We CANNOT wait!!! PowerPoint Party Vol. 3 is this Friday.

We're two PowerPoint Parties in and somehow they keep working, in all kinds of wonderful chaos.

So what the hell is a PowerPoint Party?

People get up to present on a topic of their choice, whether it be something serious or unhinged, both are welcome and we have had both. They typically last about 10 minutes each.

It means a lot to us because we know so many people with special interests who usually feel like they need to shut up in a conversation, like they can't info dump. Well this is your opportunity.

There are only 2 rules: no selling/pitching AND be respectful. Outside of that the floor is genuinely yours.

The last two have been a real mix of serious and completely unhinged and that mix is the whole point.

There's still time to grab a slot if you've got something you've been quietly obsessed with. You don't need to be a confident presenter, you just need to care about the thing.

Send us a DM with a rough idea.

If you'd rather just come and watch, honestly the audience is half the fun. Just rock up.

We are told to be scared of strangers. Except for most women, that was never where the danger was.

When a woman is hurt, it is almost always someone she knew. Whether that's a partner, an ex, or even her own family.

So, we cannot say this plainly enough. Silence on this topic only leaves room for the loudest of voices, who push a rhetoric that is categorically untrue... Because the threat does not come from outsiders.

Building Communities Resource Centre (aka BCRC) are running an event where we get a chance to speak our experiences out loud.

The Breaking the Silence: Women, Migration and Misconceptions event is happening in Coleraine Town Hall on Friday. It will be an opportunity for open and honest conversations about violence against women and girls, as well as the misconceptions built up around it.

There will be speakers from Women's Aid, Women's Resource Development Agency, Nexus and White Ribbon, as well as FactCheckNI and Politics in Action.

This will be a women only event.

There will be no photos or videos, simply a room you can actually be honest and share your experiences in.

We are standing behind this one with our whole chest.

Everything we have built at INFUSE comes back to the same principles, that our space is somewhere you are met with no judgement, somewhere you can be safe, be yourself, heard if that's what you need. Ultimately ithe Tea Bar is somewhere you are not on your own, where community matters.

This event will do this and more on a bigger scale to our wee tea bar.

I've been asked to contribute a few words on the part we play in building a safe community. So, if you have a free morning, come. I would really like to see you there.

👉 This is your reminder that we have two events this week!

First up is our Silent Book Club, happening this Thursday 21st at 7pm for two hours. The first hour you get to spend in silence surrounded by others reading. The second hour you can do as you need, keep reading, have a chat or head home, whatever suits you best. There's no set book and it's a super chill night.

Second is our Board Game Night happening on Saturday 23rd at 7pm. It's a bring your own game kind of night, that one that's been building up dust for donkey knows how long. It's that excuse to message your mates and organise a gaming sesh. We do also have games available to play on the night too.

Both nights are free to attend and our till is open for drinks and treats from our cabinet.

✨ Get tagging your friends for some good solid catch up time and join us!

This is going to be something special fans Get in touch with Building Communities Resource Centre if you want to attend...

When was the last time you actually let yourself slow down?

Not just scroll a bit slower kind of slow down.

An actual sit at a table, no phone, pen in hand kind of slow down?!

This Friday 15th (aka tomorrow) at 7pm in the Tea Bar, Nuala from is back running Journal Club.

She brings a tonne of materials, including examples of journals she has filled herself. There's zero expectations on what you do with the page in front of you, it's entirely up to you and Nuala is there for back up if you need ideas.

PLUS, it will be golden hour at the Tea Bar.

There are definitely worse rooms to spend an evening in.

This Journal Club is free, as Nuala will be using it to shoot some content, but you do need to book your spot through Nuala's site, you'll find the link in all the usual places.

Honestly, one of my favourite nights we run at the Tea Bar and I'm so glad it's back, because it's one of the few instances where I give myself permission so stop and be truly present in the moment.

Neuro Night is back this Wednesday.

Show up as you are. We provide the safe space, and we don't ever film or take pictures on a night like this because we want to protect people's privacy.

So whether you have a formal diagnosis or not, this night is for you. Come meet other neuro spicy people.

We're finally taking some time away! 🥂

Monday and Tuesday this week we'll be closed while we celebrate 5 years of marriage 💚 even if it is a little late 😅

Crazy that it's been five years since our festival like wedding, the handfasting, the tea ritual, the photos wandering through an ancient woodland and somehow we're still here. Still running a tea bar, keeping bees, and figuring it out together. And the major win in that we've never killed each other 🙈

We hope you understand us taking the extra day to ourselves this week, but that hot tub is calling!

We'll be back Wednesday, recharged and ready for interviews for our new kitchen hires.

See you soon ✨

Bann in a Bubble 💙

The Bannsiders brought it home last week and the town's still buzzing 🏆

We brought the Bann in a Bubble back to support & now to celebrate, but it's only here until Saturday, so if you haven't gotten to try it yet, get in soon!

It's a medley of iced milk, chewy tapioca boba with violet syrup and blue butterfly pea flower to top. It tastes as good as it looks, and it's definitely become a fan favourite over the last few years.

Come celebrate with us before it's gone 💙🤍💙
