At The Dog & Muffler, we’re proud to support our local community.

Whether it’s backing local sports teams, contributing to charitable causes, or simply being a friendly place where you can pop in for a chat, we’re always here for our locals.

We know many of our regulars love their sport — whether that’s football, rugby, hockey or golf. So when we were asked if we’d be doing anything for the World Cup, we said… leave it with us.

Now, while we’re not a traditional sports pub with big screens everywhere, we didn’t want to miss the chance to bring everyone together — because let’s be honest, it’s not always about the size of the TV 😉

So here’s what we’re doing:

⚽ World Cup Sweepstake
We’ll be running a sweepstake with35% of the winnings going to the lucky winner, 15% going to second place and the remaining 50% being donated to Brody’s Trust — our chosen charity for 2026.

📺 Match Viewing
We’ll be showing the matches on our TV (even if it’s a bit on the small side — great things come in small packages!).

🍬 Football-Themed Treats
We’ll also have some football-themed sweets available at the bar, so you can enjoy a little match-day treat while you watch.

💙 A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Garden Party volunteer meeting on Tuesday! 🌿

Plans are coming together beautifully, and we’re really looking forward to a fantastic event raising awareness and much‑needed funds for Brody’s Trust 💫

We know this is a busy time of year with lots of wonderful charity events, school fetes, and village days happening 🎪🌸 While it’s impossible to support everything, any support you can give to us—and to Brody’s Trust—would mean so much 💙
