Wedding cake time! 💙

Now, as most of you know, I don't usually do wedding cakes. They're stressful, anxiety-inducing and involve me checking everything approximately 472 times before delivery 😅

But this one was for Melita & Wayne, and Melita has long since graduated from customer to friend, so there was absolutely no chance I was saying no.

Three tiers, three flavours:
🍊 Chocolate Orange
❤️ Red Velvet
🍋 Lemon

The design was inspired by their love of theatre, music and prosecco, with royal blue details to match their wedding colours perfectly.

And of course, Milo had to make an appearance too 🐾❤️

The cake was set up at the beautiful Vaulty Tower in Maldon, which really is a stunning venue.

A huge congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Saunders. Thank you for trusting me with such an important part of your day. Now if anyone needs me, I'll be recovering from wedding cake stress with a large cup of tea* and something chocolatey 😂

*It's never tea, it was in fact prosecco 😉 🥂

Sorry for my silence this week!

There's a lot going on both personally and work-wise at the moment!
Both my girls have now finished their
GCSEs and A-Levels, and this morning I dropped my eldest off at the train station to start her 3-week adventure travelling around Europe 🥹❤️

On top of that, I've been busy baking for and , working on a wedding cake, sorting Father's Day orders, deciding what to stock the shed with... plus the day job and general home life!

So if I've been a little quiet, that's why.

Please send caffeine, cake and good vibes 😂

I'm rewarding myself with a trip to the cinema on Saturday to watch the new Toy Story. No spoilers if you've seen it before me! 🎬🍿

SOLD OUT! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who popped by the shed this weekend. Your support means the absolute world, and you've completely cleared me out! 💚🍪🍫

We'll be back open from Friday, and with it being Father's Day weekend, the shed will be stocked full of delicious treats that are perfect for gifting to Dad... or sharing with him if you're feeling generous! 😉

This elegant red velvet cake was made for a very special birthday celebration. Decorated with delicate blue florals, pearls and soft textured buttercream, it was created for Nola's 18th birthday.

I've known Nola since she was just 4 years old, so being asked to make her 18th birthday cake felt incredibly special. Watching the little ones you once knew grow into wonderful young adults is such a privilege.

Happy 18th Birthday, Nola. Wishing you all the happiness and exciting adventures that this next chapter brings. ✨🎂💐
