As many may know our son Paul has been suffering from cancer, which is why we took the decision to retire early. Last night he said took his final breath.

Well the day has finally arrived!
On Friday we closed the doors on our customers for the last time.

For those interested in the history of the chip shop on Beach Road. This is a letter to my great grandfather Jim Eckersley Snr. When they retired Jim Jnr and Dorothy my grand parents took over. This was my father Franks home until he was about 17/18. All our grandchildren have slept in his bedroom. In total seven generations have spent time in this chip shop. It’s time it had a rest and becomes a family home for myself, Glenn and our family. Thank you to everyone who has been our customers during the last 21 years. Our retirement date is 5th July 2024. Hope to see everyone before. Karen & Glenn.
