Sunday lunch at Verona. Because Yorkshire puddings and a glass of Malbec is a combination nobody should have to argue about.

Choose from slow-roasted lamb shoulder, roasted sirloin, pan-fried chicken breast - or our meat-free roast for those who know what they’re doing. All served with roast potatoes, glazed carrots and parsnips, broccoli, mashed potato, gravy and a homemade Yorkshire pudding.

The kind of Sunday lunch that makes the sofa afterwards feel completely justified.

Available from 12 noon today - until it’s gone. And it does go.

The weekend starts tonight.

Friday from 5 - cocktails, candlelight and the kind of Italian food that makes the week worth getting through.

Saturday from 12 until 10. No special occasion required - though it’ll feel like one the moment you walk in.

Sunday from 12 until 8:30, with Sunday lunch on until it’s gone - and it does go.

However you’re spending it, there’s a table with your name on it.

Tiramisu translates literally as “pick me up.” The dish was born in the Veneto region of northern Italy in the 1960s - invented, as the best things often are, by accident (and necessity) in a restaurant kitchen. Espresso-soaked savoiardi biscuits, whipped mascarpone, a generous hand with the cocoa.

Simple ingredients. Precise ex*****on. A dessert that somehow manages to feel both indulgent and effortless at the same time.

Sixty years on it’s the most ordered Italian dessert in the world. That doesn’t happen by accident.

Ours is made the traditional way - coffee-soaked ladyfingers, creamy mascarpone, dusted with cocoa and finished with a drizzle of dark chocolate. Served with a scoop of gelato, because some things deserve the full treatment.

Two pizzas. One problem - choosing between them.

The Verona Di Soave: tomato, Parma ham, fresh burrata, rocket, extra virgin olive oil. The kind of pizza that makes you wonder why anyone would be curious about pineapple as a topping.

The Caruso: mozzarella, grilled chicken, beef, pepperoni, fresh cherry tomatoes. Built for people who want everything and aren’t apologising for it.

Both made here. Both worth the detour.
