This month we’re excited to celebrate all things cheese, food and local produce as the Yorkshire Dales Cheese Festival returns from 9th–18th October 2026!

Join us at The Old Sawmill Café where we’ll be serving a special cheese-inspired menu celebrating the incredible local produce the Yorkshire Dales National Park has to offer.

We’re proud to be using the finest cheeses around from The Courtyard Dairy, showcasing the true flavour of our region.

Treking to Trow Gill?
Difficulty ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Distance 3.85m

Follow Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail and continue beyond Ingleborough Cave , over the bridge and through the immediate farm gate. In another 500m you’ll reach another farm gate and 250m later you’ll arrive at TROW GILL.

Once seeing the gorge in all its glory return to the previous gate and turn left before the gate through a small gully by a beach tree to your right, before emerging in a wide open U-shaped valley. Follow the right handsome up the bank and take the second gate through the wall on to LONG LANE. Follow this lane until you take a fork, then take a right turn. Wander through the tunnels and emerge back into Clapham by the church.

Changing Landscapes an exhibition by Peter Bolton at The Sawmill 🎨🖌️

This month we’re excited to be hosting Peter Bolton as he showcases a new series of artwork in his exceptional “Changing Landscapes” exhibition of paintings. The exhibition is being held in The Reginald Farrer Room, upstairs at The Old Sawmill Cafe from:

The exhibition provides a brilliant opportunity to see Peter’s incredible work and meet the artist himself!

The Old Sawmill Cafe will be open every day, complimenting your visit with great coffee, tasty homemade cakes and a breakfast and lunch menu using local produce.
