Clacton Past Captains held their annual mid summer competition 🏆

Champion Bob Moss put up a good fight in a bid to retain the trophy, which was presented by his father Bill Moss back in 1981 and was then won by Alan Hopgood.
In a tightly fought competition, Tony Stevens won the Trophy with 38pts on countback from Bob Moss also on 38pts, and Ray Fage was 3rd with 35pts on countback from Mark North.
The presentation was followed by a fish & chip supper which was attended by 23 Past Captains 🏆👏🏼⛳️

Yesterday Katy Yates, Hoon Locke, Helen Chung & Coco Locke travelled to South Bedfordshire Golf Club to compete in the East Region Women & Girls Championship.
The championship was a demanding 36-hole Scratch Medal Stroke Play competition. The Galley Hill Course at South Beds provided a challenging test of golf, but our Clacton players rose to the occasion and produced some fantastic results.

Huge congratulations to: Katy Yates – Gross Runner-Up with an outstanding score of 146. Helen Chung – Nett Runner-Up with a score of 148. Coco Locke – U15 Girls Nett Runner-Up with a score of 147.

These fantastic achievements made it a great day for Clacton Golf Club, showcasing the strength and talent of our ladies’ and juniors’ sections. Well done all! 🏆⛳

What a fantastic day for our Adult & Junior Cup, with 20 adults and 20 juniors enjoying excellent golf in pleasant conditions.

Congratulations to Craig Bruce & Charley Sallows, who produced a superb performance to win the competition with an outstanding 50 points.

Second place went to Lady Captain Emma Cole & Ashley Hodder with 43 points (cb), while Stephen Hunt & Joffré Hunt also scored 43 points to finish third.

It was wonderful to see so many members supporting this popular event and most importantly, enjoying a great day of golf together. Thank you to Club Captain Gary Dymond for presenting the trophy to our well-deserved winners and well done to everyone who took part in another successful Adult & Junior Cup 🏆⛳👏🏼

Huge congratulations to our Clacton Juniors Louie Brewer and Coco Locke on their fantastic performances at the Romford Junior Open today! ⛳🏆

Louie shot a superb 75 gross with 41 points to win the U18 Boys Stableford Division, while Coco had an excellent 79 gross and 44 points to take 1st place in the Girls stableford Division.

A brilliant achievement by both players. Well done Louie and Coco 👏🏼⛳️🏆

What a way to finish the week.

Team Essex signed off with a fantastic 6-3 victory to ensure the feel good factor is back across the team.

As we always say, it’s how we react when the chips are down that defines who we are and after two narrow defeats it would’ve been easy to throw in the towel.

But not this team.

Well done today everyone, a great way to sign off a fantastic effort all week against the best counties across the land.

We’ll be stronger for the experience next year. 🙂

What a fantastic day for our Clacton Juniors at the Junior Club Championship today, with an excellent turnout and some outstanding golf on display. Congratulations to everyone who took part and made the event such a success.
